CFZ This team is different

It's only one game to start a new season but it was one that foretells an encouraging story at this early stage of the season. MM and his new crew of assistant coaches are off to a good start with their decisions thus far into the season. The days of persisting in what we've done in the past are surely changing. Let's take heart in our early success and hope for more good decisions to come in the future. I really do like what I've seen so far.

It's still early. But I hope this team is a legit contender this year. Doesn't mean we'll get to the SB this year, but we should be in the mix.

No... this time it's different!

~~ checks personal notes on how many times said that in the last 20 years ~~
I am beginning to understand that different means something completely to me and many people commenting in this thread.

I never claimed that we were going to win or lose anything.

I said yesterday in a thrad that this team is different. The difference? Plenty of new guys/vets who never took a play off. How many games last year did we ridicule even our D of being sleepy, and uninterested? We played other teams that took no plays off and it was apparent we did. Game 1 we were on the don't take a play off side

Relax, I feel you brother. I think they're different too. But I have to make fun of myself, because I have been here before. One of these years, they'll finally bust through again. Hoping this is the one. I like every change and improvement they made from top to bottom.

The more Cowboys teams are "different" the more they stay the same. At least for a long time. I think I am actually going to enjoy this season because of the Defense but I am keeping "it's our time" thinking out of my head. Probably for the best.

For me personally, after being a fan since ‘71, I’ll pass judgement after their week 5 game against SF.

I certainly agree it is a pleasure watching the Cowboys with a strong defense and multiple fronts.

The offense just has to keep the train on the tracks.
