Agreed that Booth is just a roster body with very little on-field capability. But Diggs has been bad for quite a long time and hasn't proven to be a good corner....certainly hasn't played up to his salary. Just a bad, overhyped player.
I think this is a bit harsh. Diggs led the league in INTs in 2021. Perhaps it went unnoticed but Diggs had his best games against some of the the top receivers in the league. He shut down the likes of Justin Jefferson and Terry McLaurin. I won't argue that Diggs was overhyped like a lot of Cowboys players, but he was a really good CB before the injury. I think the dig (no pun intended) on him is he took a lot of chances and sometimes looked like he was really out of position. He was boom or bust, at least that's what it looked like to fans.
IMO, some fans over-hype Cowboys players and it is silly, but at the same time some people knock them far more than they deserve.
Diggs was drafted in 2020. Named starter his first year. In 2021 he led the league with 11 INTs, the highest total since Everson Walls did it in 1981. Diggs was named first team all-pro in 2021. In 2022 he was named all-pro again, and ranked 23 out of the top 100 players in the NFL, BY NFL PLAYERS.
In 2023 he was injured and missed most of the season. In his first 3 years the results speak for themselves. To say Diggs is not a good player is ignoring the facts of his career.
But the point I made was he is a lot better than Andrew Booth who was abused by the Eagles. If Diggs was in there I doubt the results would have been the same.
