That would make a lot people happy, around here.It would be VERY 2024 Cowboys-like to beat Washington on the road and loose terribly on TG to the lowly Giants at home.

Well, even the dumbest manager is in a better position with a top of the line draft pick, right? You have some much confidence our management can take advantage of all thd losses. Im jelly.
Well good for you. This season is toast even IF we made the play offs lol. So I'd rather have the high picks. The whole mediocrity thing has been holding the team back forever. Too good to make sincere changes, too bad for anything worthwhile in post season. Some of us enjoy seeing our team win. If you think a top 5-10 draft pick is going to change the culture and produce wins, you are the toddler. Enjoy your top 10 draft pick turd.
It's just reality. That would make a lot people happy, around here.
Under normal conditions....yes. but its Jerry.Well, even the dumbest manager is in a better position with a top of the line draft pick, right?
Yes it is....lot's of happy happy fans. I hope they don't choke on a turkey leg....those things can be lethal! LolIt's just reality.
Most people will be trying not to choke on their food because of how bad both teams are.Yes it is....lot's of happy happy fans. I hope they don't choke on a turkey leg....those things can be lethal! Lol
Like a bad car wreck, they don't have to watch, but they always do. Jerry thanks them for their opportunity. Most people will be trying not to choke on their food because of how bad both teams are.
Hope the stadium is empty but the win Sunday probably made enough Homers get excited to cough up the $600-$700 it costs to go to the stadium. Losers.Like a bad car wreck, they don't have to watch, but they always do. Jerry thanks them for their opportunity.
wait what. we have no talent. we played against a team that's on a three game losing streak, with a rookie QB who has an injury. The game shows that we have some talent. The young offensive lineman are jelling. Amazing what happens when your quarterback has time to pass and the running back has holes to go through.
Defensively Micah is that dude, Bland has been sorely missed, Overshown is playmaker, and Gholston needs to be offered in extension.
We still are a shell but a new coaching staff, free agents, and draft gives me some hope.
Injured quarterback? You talking about the Cowboys. Daniels was fine. Washington is 7-5 and had 10 days off. Again another Debbie downer giving the Cowboys no credit.wait what. we have no talent. we played against a team that's on a three game losing streak, with a rookie QB who has an injury.
they were 32nd against the rush.
this team still needs heavy dose of talent injection to be able to compete against real NFL top tier teams. yesterday Philly or Detroit or GB would have taken us to the woodshed and eat our lunch.
you can't count on other teams follies to win games (they had two missed PATs) and you can't count on your special teams to pull out win games.
Good stuff.Allow me to inject additional realism.
Yeah, they are horrible, but just good enough to destroy any hope of a high draft pick.
They won't make the playoffs, of course. However, they will go on a small win streak and I think there is a good possibility of a signature "Garrett" season.
That is, they will end up 9-8 or 8-9
Two of their next three games are against the Giants and Panthers. Between those games, they play the Bengals ten days after the Giants. Obviously, there is no guarantee, but I wouldn't be surprised if they win their next three games.
That puts them at 7-7. Their last three opponents are the Bucs, Eagles, and Commanders. I believe they will win one, perhaps two, but not all three.
They will miss the playoffs and the top ten of the draft.
Just to rub salt in the wound, they will look better in December than they have all season long.
Why do I believe this?
This team was destined to start out struggling due to the loss of some players, a different defensive scheme, and a great deal of youth. They started three rookies in game #1, two on the O-line.
The idea was that the team would improve as season progressed. The young players would learn through experience.
However, the Cowboys didn't anticipate a devastating chain of injuries that wiped out their entire DE group. I'm not sure if their two All Pro CB's were on the field at the same time this year. Perhaps one game? These were supposed to be their areas of strength that would carry them through all season long.
Now, the younger players do seem to be improving and some of the injured are trickling back into the lineup.
With that said, Dak's injury was the death blow.
One last piece of reality:
The offense didn't score enough points to win this game. The score is inflated by two great special teams plays. The offense was responsible for 20 of the 34 points.
Additionally, the offense's last two scoring drives started on the 50 and Washington 44. The first was the result of a punt after a three and out. The second was a forced fumble.
Until that point in the 4th quarter, the Cowboys had what seems to be their "signature" score this season, ten points.
Yep. This team has serious issues..Yea, im gonna be that guy and injectsome realism back into yall. Our defense is still garbage, the offense is still garbage. Mazi will be fighting for job next season, Zeke will be retired, MM and Zimmer will no longer be here. This teams needs a ton of work
