Hmm..

Funny, this team, unfortunately, is exactly what I thought they would be.

I'll take 6-3.

The Oline is only going to develop and improve. Despite the recent struggles they will only get better here on out.

If you look across the NFL every team has it's weaknesses.

Despite all of our setbacks we're still sitting at 6-3.

I have no doubt in my mind this team will contend this season and down the road. None of you pessimist will alter my mindset. Yeah I'll drink the koolaid while you can choke on your hatorade as the sky hits you on the head.

I'm not usually won to wave the pom-poms, but a lot of people are seriously over-reacting here. I was super mad after the Washington game, mainly because they could not adjust to the blitzes. But the Cardinals game I believe we would have destroyed them with Romo. Weeden was awful, and we left a ton of points on the field, even with him. We will be fine when #9 comes back. Let's get him healthy and look long-term.

Can't take you seriously when you insinuate that Dez Bryant isn't better than Wallace or V. Jackson.

It's like you don't want any credibility.

Where did I say that? I said I wouldn't pay Dez what they are making, which is crazy money.

Anyone who thought this team was a SB contender or might finish 11-5 was on something anyway.

We have a very good running game, a so so, week to week passing game, a very good QB with a bad back who is never going to stand and take a hit to deliver a pass against the blitz. We have a group on defense that is giving it all they have, but realistically, we are playing with a DL comprised of 1 OLB (Spencer), 1 just off the injured list rookie, and a bunch of DT's and run stopping DE's. Our best LB isn't going to play this year; we lost our 2nd best LB and team captain a week ago, and we're playing with a somewhat slow-footed MLB whom we are worshipping just because we needed someone so badly and he's actually making a few plays each game...and then there's a rookie and Carter, who has just come back from injury and is so far invisible the past two games. IN the secondary, we do not have a single legitimate safety who can cover a TE, much less cover a WR, and we have one CB in Scandrick and a millionaire who can't cover or make plays.

Come on....this team is still a long way from being a real contender, no matter what the record is. Put us against Arizona, Pittsburg the way they are playing right now, GB, or any other truly effective offense and defense, and we are going to struggle. We need to restock the DL and secondary and hope Lee comes back healthy.

Right now, just making the playoffs and being competitive in the first round would be quite an exciting and successful year from my viewpoint. At 6-1, we were all surprised, shocked, and playing better than we expected, but those who thought we were a top 5 team and a SB contender should have listened when advised to tap the brakes.

We all thought the defense would be terrible and they aren't. They aren't top 10, by any means, but they are a middle of the pack defense. Going into the season, everyone said if they could find a way to not be the last team in the league, this team would go places. That hasn't been the case.

The offense has been pretty awful, to be honest. They play sloppy, undisciplined football. The Cowboys are the 4th worst team in giveaways. The offense is literally giving games away. We were able to overcome this against bad like Titans, Rams, Saints, and Giants.

The Great Wall: They've been exposed. They just aren't very good at pass blocking, period. I expect them to get better, but as of now, they are a great run blocking team, and a sub par pass blocking team. They are still getting confused by simple stunts and fire blitzes.

Dez Bryant: He has been dropping a ton of balls lately. I really think this contract negotiation has him distracted. There is no way I would pay this guy anywhere close to Calvin Johnson money. I wouldn't even give him Vincent Jackson or Mike Wallace money. He just isn't worth it.

Linehan: The last couple of games have shown that he can be as stubborn as Garrett was. Against Washington, he kept running 10+ yard routes when Romo was getting killed. He refused to max protect, until Weeden came in. He hasn't been running very many screens. I understand being handicapped by Brandon Weeden, but he needs to do a better job.

I was pretty hard to the defense going into the season, but they have shown up. This offense keeps putting them in bad positions and they hold their ground. They aren't great, and have a lot of warts, but they aren't the problem. This sloppy offense is letting teams hang around.

The team is who a lot of us thought it was, just not waht you wanted it to be. I think a lot of voices are drowned out even tho they have realistic claims. Garrett and company still choose to make bad mistakes, i said it last year, im claiming it again, this team does not know how to work the back qb position.

our fans over hype a lot of players, just deal with it and watch the evidence on the field. simple as that. No dez is not all that, and thats it. Nor is a few players. TO many fans thought highly of this defense thinking other teams werent upgrading, hello, reality is spun its ugly head.

This is what you get in the parity era and our fans are reduced for hyping mediocrity. Its sad but its the way of teh new NFL.

No team is what we thought they were. Is SF what we thought they would be? Not even remotely. Seattle? No where near last year's team.

Let's not act like going from Leary to Berney or Free to Parnell is a drastic change. The Cardinals have won games with their 3rd string QB. The Eagles won with Butt Fumble at QB. The Skins beat us with Colt McCoy throwing the ball.

The Cardinals, Eagles and Commanders are not as dependent on their QB as the Cowboys are of Romo (although it´s painfully obvios our back up QB is the worst of them all), I think that´s clear. When and if we get a healthy Romo back we will start winning again.

The Cowboys are starting to resemble what we thought they were prior to the season. They're certainly not as bad as most thought they would be but they're starting to take on that mediocre look again. The OL that had everyone so excited is having trouble picking up the blitz and didn't run block very well yesterday. The defense that had played very well for most of the season has spent more time on the field the past couple of games and we're seeing missed tackles. Like we saw last season the D is beginning to have issues getting opposing offenses off the field especially in critical 3rd down situations. We're starting to see the injuries once again on defense. Dez is having trouble separating from defenders which has been one of his issues and his hands have turned into Kevlar lately.

The Cowboys are in a 2 game slide and if they don't start getting back on track very soon they'll be back hovering around 500 again come Dec. They could end up being in another must win situation entering week 17 to make the playoffs if they don't start righting what looks like a sinking ship. A couple of weeks ago at 6-1 it appeared the Cowboys would coast into the playoffs but they're going to end up in a real battle again if it takes weeks for Romo to get back to form recovering from his latest back injury and the Cowboys don't start stringing some wins together. All the confidence and momentum the team gained the first 7 games is being destroyed in games at home.

I'm more interested in next season to be honest. Is this season just a mirage or a return to better days? Thats what I want to find out. I havent gotten carried away. I do expect them to make the playoffs no doubt but I recognise there's a kink or two that needs sorting before I think ring number 6. Hopefully that happens before Antonio's totally gives out.

Dez is not dropping balls because of contract.

If the Cowboys don't get back to stringing together wins what we saw the first 7 games may end up being a mirage.

If we had lost that game in such ugly fashion with Romo in there, I'd agree with .

Did we not lose the Washington game in an ugly fashion WITH Romo? That was 2-5 team. Our team is not near as good as we thought it was. It just so happens that most of the rest of the NFC isn't that great either.

a lot of jobs and careers are hanging in the balance of the next few weeks if things don't go well then there will be lots of players and coaches that will not be back next year.

I don't think so. If any thing the injuries will save some jobs. It's Jerry's way.
