No they are not who we thought they were. We thought they were 8-8. I have us going 11-5.

I think the team can win four games after beating Jacksonville, leaving us at 11-5.

1. W - Beat NY Giants after Bye
2. W - We split with Philly
3. W - We beat the Bears
4. W - We take revenge on the Skins and massacre them

We lose to Indy and Philly...that's how I see it.

This team is good enough to beat Indy as well.

If AZ is the best in the NFC, I'm pretty excited we can compete in the Playoffs.

only thing that is what I thought was is the fan base. So many see the season in the current snap shot. Winning and people talking SB then you hit a bump in the road and now they are no longer as good as people were thinking. Fact is this picture of the team has yet to be seen. It could fall and struggle for the remainder of the season, it could get healthy and back on track and win big there is no way of telling what this team is or who this team is at this stage. So many go overboard pro and con, if they start up another win streak then what we get back to talking SB? Season is 16 games long try not to get to high or too low

Let's not act like going from Leary to Berney or Free to Parnell is a drastic change. The Cardinals have won games with their 3rd string QB. The Eagles won with Butt Fumble at QB. The Skins beat us with Colt McCoy throwing the ball.

Its not a huge drop off talent wise, but continuity is huge along the OL

We go on another 6 game winning streak and drop the finale at Washington

Panic ensues.

stop having silly expectations and pounding your chest over how great so and so is and when you come down to earth you wont have so far to fall. it isnt as good as OH THEY ARE THE NEW TRIPLETS! but it isnt as bad as it could be either.
but I guarantee you if Cowboys had won, some would be in favor of sitting half the team to face the Jaguars and letting the pilot and baggage handlers play qb and skill positions.
guess what. the Cowboys have to execute and play well or the lowly Jaguars just might send them home very embarrassed.

Get them out of JerryWorld.

They play better away from the museum.

They need to hire me as the game day stadium manager. The whole game experience there is screwed up and prevents fans from having a feel for the game. Without having a feel for the game, it's really hard for the fans for provide any home-field advantage.

The extreme over-amplified sound system is the number 1 problem, but there are other things that could easily be much better.

We all thought the defense would be terrible and they aren't. They aren't top 10, by any means, but they are a middle of the pack defense. Going into the season, everyone said if they could find a way to not be the last team in the league, this team would go places. That hasn't been the case.

The offense has been pretty awful, to be honest. They play sloppy, undisciplined football. The Cowboys are the 4th worst team in giveaways. The offense is literally giving games away. We were able to overcome this against bad like Titans, Rams, Saints, and Giants.

The Great Wall: They've been exposed. They just aren't very good at pass blocking, period. I expect them to get better, but as of now, they are a great run blocking team, and a sub par pass blocking team. They are still getting confused by simple stunts and fire blitzes.

Dez Bryant: He has been dropping a ton of balls lately. I really think this contract negotiation has him distracted. There is no way I would pay this guy anywhere close to Calvin Johnson money. I wouldn't even give him Vincent Jackson or Mike Wallace money. He just isn't worth it.

Linehan: The last couple of games have shown that he can be as stubborn as Garrett was. Against Washington, he kept running 10+ yard routes when Romo was getting killed. He refused to max protect, until Weeden came in. He hasn't been running very many screens. I understand being handicapped by Brandon Weeden, but he needs to do a better job.

I was pretty hard to the defense going into the season, but they have shown up. This offense keeps putting them in bad positions and they hold their ground. They aren't great, and have a lot of warts, but they aren't the problem. This sloppy offense is letting teams hang around.

I generally agree with all of that except the part about the OLine pass blocking. There is only so much an OL can do when the defense blitzes. It's up to the play-caller, QB and receivers to beat the blitz. Also, Murray has had a couple of issues with pass blocking. I might agree that the OL is not as good as some people were claiming, but it's not bad. Martin got held on that stunt where he got beat in the Skins game. Tyron is dealing with an ankle problem and has had some issues. Overall, if the QB and receivers don't beat the blitz a few times, the defense will keep sending more rushers than the offense has blockers.

This team is pretty much exactly what we thought it was. We had a poor showing against the Skins and then got beat by a good team without a capable QB. I really don't think there's any greater mystery to it than that. If we play good points defense and control the clock and are effective offensively, we'll win a lot of games. When we don't do those things, we get beat. Being 6-3 is a pretty good measure of this team right now. NFL seasons are long, and the euphoria of a 6 game winning streak shouldn't have confused anybody into thinking winning games in this league is easy.

If we can get by JAX with a hobbled QB, I still like our position a lot for the second half of the season.

I like everything here except the position for the second half. I do believe this is a tougher team mentally then previous years and I feel the offensive line sets the attitude for this team and the last 2 games they have been humbled a bit. If they can reclaim that swagger and Romo can play at a consistent level we will be fine. It could easily go either way

What's new? It's clear this has been an issue with our schemes since the beginning of the Garrett era. Now we got legit OL players and we still see the same issues. Long vertical routes and weak short passing game.

Our WRs are taught not to adjust their routes, from what I have found out, meaning it surprised me we have no real 'hot reads' when they send in the house on a 3rd and long blitz. How many men can you end up blocking? We should be making teams pay big-time when they do that.

That surprises me also. I thought when someone mentioned that we don't have a hot read that that was nothing but a joke. But when I actually saw it being played out I just SMH.

I said it before and I really think its time to dump Garrett's playbook. Take out the best plays from that playbook and use different route adjustments based on the audible. We should also practice more improvised plays like Green Bay - which when the play breaks down after 3 seconds, its a mad scramble in which everyone stops running their routes and basically tries to get open. Thus everyone thinks Rogers is a better scrambler then Romo. Thats not the case. Its the system that they built with Rogers which he is allowed to scramble out of pocket and throw to whoever is open. Romo doesn't have that system in place which is unfortunate because he would excel in a system like Green Bay's.

The team is 6-3. Thats a much better record than I'm sure you predicted at this point in the offseason.

Quit crying dude!

I'm starting to think some on here are overreacting. We're still one of the better teams in the league. We will make the playoffs. The Eagles will start dropping some games. We will play better.

With all the bad QB play we were down 4 with 9 minutes or whatever with the ball to the best team record wise in the league and we didn't have our staring QB. The most important player on the field. Our backup was obviously beyond bad. A fluke blocked field goal kept that the possession where we were stopped on downs from us taking the lead on a kick. The D stopped them 3 straight times and gave us several chances. Weeden was just too bad.

I think we will see us learning from these mistakes and it helping us improve for a much better season than many thought. The same people that are doubting us now will be surprised again.

They have played much better than I predicted. It's disconcerting to lose to garbage like the Commanders & have a poor performance against the Cards.

I think because it is their MO in the past for many to fear this team will crash & burn.

I think they are better than that this year but I can see the " oh no here we go again" side of things.

With our starting QB out, two OLinemen out, and still trying to adjust to losing one of our LBs for the year, we lost to an extremely good team.

Oh noes!

Here I don't think Bob is wrong. The offense hasn't been the plus news lately and yes it is understandable.
Leary coming back and with Parnell getting some game experience we might correct some things.
It's certainly not fair to hang it around the offensive [offensives line] totally
