I am not sure. But 49ers, Saints, Seattle and Giants in first 7 games was a lot of rivalry fluff!

They could definitely use the bye for some guys to heal - specifically Romo, McClain, Carter, Crawford and for Murray to have a week off from the pounding he has been taking.

Most of all, they need to win this game to set up the remaining slate - 5 of the final 7 on the road will not be easy.
