This team needs juice. What would you trade to go get Travis hunter? Would you trade Micah

What confuses me on this board is the illusion that the Jones are capable of pulling off a trade like this.

Teams have admitted they can get the Cowboys to dramatically overpay and talk about Jerry has no patience for the back-and-forth. They call it the "Jerry Tax." There is also been public talk that Stephen is the exact opposite and has unrealistic demands. Stephen was quoted a few years back as saying they needed "payback for teams getting over on them in the past."

These two are unserious clowns.
I gotta be honest KING...and you aint gonna like this...

I have only owned one home in my life...the whole process of buying was beyond frustrating for a buyer...and the one thing that made NO SENSE and had me put off back then was the back and forth on price.

You can make a weak excuse to side with real estate....but we offer...take 3 days to hear back...make a new offer...3 days again...

You are not smart enough to come up with an excuse that suggests that is reasonable in the 2000's with phones. Cool, I got played on my frustration and it was strung out on me to gaslight me...lame..

I agree with Jerry....screw all that mess. Its a big waste of time and its not as complicated as needing to spend a bunch of time in negotiations.

Also...UNLESS IM GETTING PLAYED...that also conflicts with how I have heard most NBA transactions go.

How can you fault Jerry for that? Leaning into "Well, theres another party involved, son" is lazy and weak...its not that hard when you have gatekeepers on phones that run trades by Jerry before he gets involved.

Personally, dont see how anyone can fault Jerry in this...everyone hates unreasonably long negotiations.

There's a difference between long, exhausting negotiations and what Jerry does.

Jerry's last two trades would be the equivalent of you walking onto a car lot to buy a $75,000 truck and offering $125k just to get it over with. You unnecessarily overpaid.

Also, this idea of gatekeepers is erroneous. No one in that FO dares to tell Jerry anything other than what he wants to hear. He already told you he made the Lance deal without talking to anyone.

Bingo.

Anyone left defending Jerry at this point is either a family member or has a concussion.

He's presented more than enough evidence (even in the last 12-14 months) that he's now out of his depth when it comes to roster building - which includes trades. He also purposely sat on the Lamb and Prescott negotiations. We are literally seeing it play out again now with McCarthy. If you really wanted him back these negotiations had to happen weeks ago. Instead Jerry is waiting until the last moment to try to keep him (if that's what he wants to do). Shoot, even Parsons has noticed which is why he publicly came out this week that he'll take a lesser deal, wants it done sooner rather than later and that he wants his cap savings on the extension to go be to get better players.

How are fans still being duped by Jerry?

No, I wouldn't trade Micah to get Hunter. Micah's proven to be one of the few best edges in the league. While I think Hunter will be a very good player, he's just obviously an unknown quantity in the NFL whereas we know Micah is and should continue to be elite.

Think about our defense with vs without Micah. It's night and day and Graham could have a similar impact.

I'd rather have one true difference maker than two solid contributors.
How did Joe Burrow's team do this year? He had a historically great year.

This team needs multiple dudes, not dude to win a Lombardy.
