As long Jerry and Stephen are running the show you can dismantle, blow up, soft rebuild, trade ‘em all, etc. and it won’t matter. Dallas will always be about glitz and glamour and money. Football will always be #3 or #4.
 :muttley:It would be vastly so funny.....If not so true:facepalm:

Absent Jerry, Jimmy Johnson was goiung to coach for someone else, perhaps even the Cowboys under Tex Schram, although I doubt it.

Simply put, Jimmy Johnson had a specific plan on how he was going to build the team and was going to coach for the team that gave him the most freedom with least interference to implement that plan.

That team was the Cowboys.....until they started winning. Suddenly, Jerry Jones, who previously took the GM position without public announcement, began a media campaign depicting himself as an equal partner in the construction of the team.

Once Jimmy realized Jerry wanted to make football related decisions, he knew it was over.
Damn, you got a plasticman crush....good thing Jerry brought in Jimmy. Lol

Jerry Jones has always said that he would not have bought the Cowboys unless he could get Jimmy to coach them.
You've been telling me stuff that I already know....what's your point. You hate Jerry, we know....what else?

You don't need to demolish but it's time to start cutting older veterans. They should have tried to trade some of them but it's too late till the off season. They need lots of draft picks over the next 2 years and maybe they can make a run before Daks contract is up but I doubt it.

Prove me wrong, we have a better than average QB but no online and one receiver and kicker. What else do we have? RB, OL, Dline and linebackers are horrible. d back are average. Why pay Micah and wage him? Let him go and trade CD and Dak and begin rebuild with draft. This team has dropped beyond plugging a few players to fill some holes.
Agreed but the QB gets 60 million so it can't be rebuilt

This team sucks from top to bottom…..

They should’ve been dismantled after the Green Bay game

You don’t bring back that kind of foolishness ….you saw the ceiling was 12-5 and 1 playoff win

That’s the ceiling they can only go lower….you dismantle go 3-14 build up and take a shot

The eagles have done it and have suffered through 4 win seasons and made multiple superbowls

Signing Dak kills this dream. You are going to lose your top players to age faster than you can replenish in the draft over the next two years. Cooks, Martin, DLaw, Hooker, etc. once you finally clear Daks contract, Diggs, Micah, Ferguson will all be starting to age out. You are truly sunk here unless you can somehow drop Dak

It won't matter. This franchise will never win anything of significance the rest of my lifetime
