I really miss the highlights with John Facenda and the big band music.

That’s just as classic as it gets. May have to YouTube some of it now.
Growing up in Philly, I heard John Facenda anchoring the nightly news. I listened to the GOAT news anchor voice for years.

And yet the Marquee matchup like Philly GB which would make a great Sunday night game opening weekend is being played on a Friday night in Brazil ….better subscribe to Peacock as well if you want to watch . Which I don’t and won’t . Thanks Roger Goodfella and the 32 “ families “

At first, I thought you were referring to Tommy Loy and his Golden Trumpet. He always did the Star Spangled Banner at Cowboys home games. It was only him and his trumpet.

I used to be superstitious and believed that any flaw in Tommy Loy's trumpet playing meant the Cowboys were going to lose.

Back in the 60’s, when I would catch the games on radio, they always started off with the “Dallas Cowboys Stampede”. I‘m not able to put it on here from YouTube, but it’s there. Brings back many memories.
