The ugly truth is they're all big in the NFL. We can beat New Orleans, New York and Minnesota in successive weeks, but no one will remember those monumental wins if we follow with losses to Carolina and St. Louis. But that definition obviously isn't the "big game" we're all talking about with Romo.
My definition of a "big game" is this: A game against a good team in a key stage of the season, likely later in the year if not the postseason. Last year's victory over New York, for instance, was huge; the win over Washington was as well (a loss then, following the Brad Johnson debacle, would have almost ended the season, no?).
Tonight's game? Yeah, big only if we lose. This isn't a trademark win, but it sure could have been a trademark loss.
And I think it's a double standard that is applied league wide.
