Who cares where everyone had him - 2nd round or 3rd round. The guy fills a need and I don't think anyone knows how he will turn out. There have been plenty of first round busts and 5th round sleepers (i.e. Tom Brady). Let's get back from the ledge, everyone, and see how it plays out. Besides, if all you naysayers are so smart and talented at grading talent, how come you don't work for some NFL team as a scout?

Passing on Shariff Floyd (Warren Sapp 2.0) will haunt this team for a decade.

This is almost as bad as us passing WR Randy Moss.....it's that bad of a mistake.

They were so enamoured w/ Richardson- yet were blatantly defiant in not picking the superior Floyd.

Floyd was exactly what this team needed if it was gonna convert to the Tampa-2.

Now IMO...this puts a huge question mark on our scouting staff- if it even understands the scheme and the the type of players it takes to run it.

This is going to come down to what extent Sharif, Frederick and 74 pan out, obviously. I would rather have Frederick than Vaccaro and I'm not alone on that, presumably.

Really? The point of the draft is to get value at the position you are in. They have worst teams picking 1st so they can improve. If the #1 pick was a guy projected in the 3rd round and it covered need would that be cool with you? The Cowboys have been .500 for 2 years. So they pick middle of the pack. You don't trade down...a bad trade for only getting a 3rd...and then get a guy who most had in the 3rd, some in the 2nd and some as far down in the 4th. You could get the same "need" later and still get better talent at where you were at 18.

Vaccaro scared me too. However, Frederick was taken #31 that was a reach.

What determines the success of this Draft Day is primarily the 31st choice.

Thought someone would trade up from the early 2nd for a QB....guess not.

All in All it could have been much worse, after missing on numerous Centers and paying for decades we had to try but his athleticism is subject which may or may not prevent him from achieving at a high level in the NFL.

Our Front Office is hindering while spending all cap room meanwhile other teams continue to improve and have plenty of cap space, this speaks loud and clear to everyone around the World of Football.

I will agree that nothing really fell our way in the draft, but the level of disgust I have after this pick, especially seeing that we accepted a bad trade to move down is just appalling. Yeah, at least we are done with Costa but as far as i'm concerned thanx for nothin Jerry!!!
