Don't forget that people.

Everyone here KNOWS that Payton circled this date on his calendar when the schedule was released.

They pulled out the stops and did a great job at it.

Sorry, but the Saints Super Bowl was in September playing the Falcons at home for the first time since Katrina.

every week is someones superbowl against Dallas........every week.

BS. Payton may have wanted the game but that doesn't make it his superbowl. The fact that he Blew apart Zimmers D doesn't make it his superbowl.....the fact that they routed the so-called NFC contender doesn't make it his superbowl....

The closest that was to a superbowl was the gatorade bath at the end.....

Hats off to Payton for showing up with a game plan.....probably the only coach in that Stadium that did.

Hardly. What connects Payton and many of their players to the Falcons?

Sorry, bro, but that doesn't make me feel any better.

The 'Boys of the 90s knew every game was the other team's SB, yet we still manhandled them. These are things championship teams do. Even when they lost, they rarely, if ever lost like this. The Colts lost like this today, and I'm very confident enough to say that they aren't a championship team. NOs is a fantastic offensive team, and we weren't prepared at all - we were thoroughly outcoached. To make things worse, we didn't stick to the run on offense when JJ ran his biggest run of the year, finally showing us the big home run threat he can be.

I woouldnt be so arrogant as to say such things.

They are simply the better team and it showed.

Maybe we should try doing that sometime.

And this could have been our ticket to the Super Bowl had we won, given we would have had the inside track on the No. 2 seed.

I couldn't agree more.....or maybe we just stick with our hot hand....who was JJ tonight. Unbelievable play-calling tonight.

How many times have we failed in the "big" game in recent memory? We did it last year in Washington. We did it again today. This is the complete opposite MO of the '90s teams.

We haven't won a playoff game in a decade. We're not everybody's Super Bowl.

We are when the opposing teams coach was one of our coaches last year....not to mention 7 of their players.

Winning a playoff game in the past has nothing to do with it.

how many times have the saints practically clinched a playoff spot by beating a team of equal record by 25?

I'd say never...which further bolsters my point.
