Gee, I didn't know a true fan couldn't criticize his favorite team.:

Can someone show me in the official "Fan" handbook chapter and verse where it says you can't? I must have missed it. ;)
Dont worry they pull this everytime the Cowboys lose....they start questioning the loyalty of those that are upset about it. To some people, you have to be happy(or at least indifferent) about losing to be a real cowboys fan and cannot show any anger or frustration.

Depends on your definition of fair I guess. Shall I go see when the last time you made a positive post was?

Who said fairweather fans were not true fans? They just run the gambit of emotions from love to hate with no control over it.

Those type do not bother me (though I admit I like to mock them as well)

The ones I cannot stand are those who actively root against one of our players or coaches or owners so they can say they are right if they fail.

There are a few people on this board who are like that and I do not consider them true fans.

No one is happy with the loss. it was a game we should have won but didn't it is also week 2 of the season not the last game of the year so before over reacting why not wait and see how the team responds. We lost this game and we will lose some more unless it was your believe this team would go undefeated which I seriously doubt you figured they would win them all.

I think it is a bit foolish after a win for people think we are SB bound by the same token it is pretty foolish to think the end is here because we lost one. There is something called being even keeled instead of overreaction.

The problem is, we've already seen how this team responds. They will beat up on Carolina and some other scrub teams, get everyones hopes up, and then when that big game comes and we play someone good, we lay an egg and find miraculous never seen before ways to lose, and I am tired of watching these re-runs.

.500 isn't fair...that SUCKS!

Around here winning a Play-Off game used to be Fair, we were the Dallas Cowboys!

With Jerry Jones at the helm winning a single play-off game would be like having relief from a cool breeze in Hell.

When did I say 500 was fair?

And Winning the Superbowl is what is fair in Cowboys land. Screw a "playoff win" if we do not win the big one.

You notice that as well. I see nothing wrong with someone being critical but so many go over the top.

Romo played bad? Yes he did but to say Kitna should now start? It really is sad how some fans freak out so easy thankfully they don't run the team

I have my criticisms, but in no way do I say Kitna should start over Romo, not even close.

It is upsetting and sickening to see how bad things went, and so many years of same ol will dishearten alot of fans, but alot of teams go through the same thing.

I now want to see how this team responds.

Then don't watch it if your tired of it or learn to become a bit more even keel during a season. Yes we will lose some game and if this is the reaction every time we lose a game why bother? This team was never going to go 16-0 nor will most teams out there and as yesterday showed many other good teams lost it happens and while it sucks it is not the end. Dallas has beaten top teams over the last few years so it is not the case that we only beat scrubs but lose to good teams.

I agree. Tony Romo is the QB of the Cowboys and unless he just falls apart over the next 3 to 4 games he will remain the starting QB. He had a bad day you know it, I know it and Tony Romo knows it. He will get back to work this week and get ready for the next game.

Most people forget that most of our losses come to the top teams in the league, and they are not by much! To loose by 2-points to the Giants. Yes no one likes a loss, but we didn't get blown out!

Can you tell that I am a "Glass half full" type of guy!

If they're posting on the forum, then 9 times out of 10, they're true fans.

Folks need to stop questioning people's fandom just because the don't react as you'd like.
There is 585 members on right now, so that means 59 of them arent' fans. If they are a vocal 59 that would be a lot. ;)

I hated math when I was in school. You just made me realize why.

Co-sign both statements.... If anything it shows how much we really do care about the team!

Me personally, a playoff win would be like a super bowl at this point. It's all I care about: one playoff win. When some ****** eagles fan asks me when the last time the cowboys won a playoff game was, I want to be able to say a few minutes ago :)

I can't hardly take not having won a playoff game in so long. It almost physically hurts.

Look Zoners!

We are still going to win the Super Bowl this year!

Now this is an outlandish statement. Who cried Superbowl? I'm looking to week 3...

I'm not going to stop watching. I'm going to watch every game like I have for the past 20+ years. I'm going to hope that we correct the mistakes that prevent us from winning. And yes, I do expect us to win every game we play. It may not happen that way, but yes, I go into every game with the expectation that we will win IF we play mistake-free football and don't shoot ourselves in the foot. 16-0 is not impossible. That "Oh we were bound to lose some games anyway" mentality is loser talk. Every game that was lost last year and the one we lost this year should have been a victory (with the excpetion of the Rams game and first Giants loss). I don't see why I need to be even keen and expect the team to lose.
