I know its early to be talking playoffs, but it doesn't hurt anything.

The games that affect us in relations to the playoffs are as follows:

Cardinals @ Packers (Don't see how the packers don't get in. But you never know. Might as well root for the cardinals since they seem to be a team fading fast and green bay is more dangerous.)

Lions @ Jags - Lions have the same record as us. Go Jags.

Panthers @ Skins - go Panthers

Vikings @ Seahawks - Vikings are in 5-3 and the seahawks are 4-4. The vikings have a tougher schedule down the stretch so i will be rooting for the seahawks, and they hold the tiebreaker over us as well.

Bucs @ Raiders - go raiders

Steelers @ Giants (4:25) - Go Steelers. If they beat the gnats and we win, we are 4-4, while the Gnats will be 6-3 with a tough schedule down the stretch. Still don't see any way we catch the gnats, but you never know what will happen in this league.

Cowboys @ Falcons (8:30)

Eagles @ Saints (Monday) - Go saints. If they beat the eagles, we may be the first start of foles' career next week. I will take that any day of the week over vick.

Of course, none of this really means anything if we can't get past the falcons.

Wow. You know you hang around here and you think we have no shot at the post season. If we win we are in. Easier said then done but if we can't beat some of these opponents we have coming up? We simply don't deserve to be in the post season anyway. I don't know why I feel optimistic but I kind of want to see how we respond against the Falcons on Sunday.

Deserves got nothing to do with it right now. No one deserves to be in the playoffs at this point. If Cowboys play well and win the majority of their games then they deserve and will be in the playoffs just as much as any other team.

I expect the Packers to win that game but then it knocks Cards down
Lions/Jags I would think the edge would go to Lions
Vikes/Seahawks I think that is a toss up both teams are starting to look like they are on their way down.
Steelers/Giants should be a good game just hope Steelers are on top at days end
Eagles/Saints, Saints defense looks poor but if Philly changes QB not sure he will be ready to get into a shoot out with Brees.

Bottom line though none of these matter unless the Cowboys can get things going.

I agree. Deserve has nothing to do with anything. Cowboys need to put some wins together and quickly.

It's really up to us if we want to make the playoffs. I know that is cliched as hell at this point but we can't keep hoping teams lose with the low amount of playoff spots available. Atlanta, SF, Chicago, Green Bay barring injury are givens at this point. The Giants schedule in the 2nd half as is about as difficult as ours was in the 1st half. The Cowboys have to start turning some of these close games into wins and start winning at home. Really can't afford another home loss this season. I still think the playoffs and even the division can be had by this team but digging anymore of a hole than your already in and it will be tough. Sunday's game was just so tough to lose even tougher than that Baltimore game because obviously that was an AFC team and Sunday's game was against our division leader.
