From the nerve center of Air America Cowboys, where truth and logical logic are daily intruders and the folks in Farmers Branch pine for the 1950s, an opinion about the draft. Next up, Ernie's Sunday Kitchen and then Opera Hour with Miss Elaine and her trained canaries. Poor Wade Phillips. He thinks he'll be drafting but will look up to find a smiling Jerra in the War Room on draft day. Probably making strong suggestions to draft that kid with the great name and swagger from a small school.J Jerra will go after a QB, maybe a "find" RB and, of course a defensive end. (Doesn't he always?)Then he'll get the tallest, fatest kid he can find and anoint him the new pass rusher. LOLThe sad part is, he is playing with the Cowboys' future.Yes, Jerra will be in charge in the war room. And that does not bode well for the Cowboys.

I am one of Jerra's biggest fans.I just think that Jerra will be enjoying man boobs' departure and will want to flex his football smarts and take over the War Room during the draft. Wade won't say no to Jerra. That's all I'm saying.Anybody who does not think Jerra will exercise plenty of hands-on work on draft day is forgetting the owner's persona. And that is to be a football guy and make the Cowboys into his image of what it should be.He should leave the drafting to the experts, but he wont.

Interestingly enough, truth and logic are not necessarily synonymous. For instance, based on the knowledge available to ancient man, geocentrism was a perfectly logical model...yet completely wrong.

Just an observation.

Please, continue with the schtick.

A showcase of 50-cent words yet no observation on Jerra's draft. You probably watch NFL sundays just for the commercials, right??

Yeah, you're such a big fan you don't even bother to spell his first name right...

If that post was a compliment, I'd hate to be around when you got to insulting the guy...

I'm sure Jerry will get all of his information not only from WP, but from the entire scouting department.
Who cares who sits in the War room... My grandmother can sit in there and take the card from Ireland, and hand it to the commissioner, didn't mean she made the pick.

I have been thinking that Jerry would want to put his stamp on this draft. He has a fairly large ego that must be fed. In this instance I think it could work because Dallas' offense needs an infusion of youth and speed.

My maddenesque fantasy is that Jerry wheels and deals on his way up to draft Adrian Peterson or Calvin Johnson. Very soon the offense won't have Adams, Julius Jones, Glenn and or Owens. In that scenario there is no speed or anything else that would keep a defensive coordinator up nights.

In that event Romo would be reduced as a quarterback and Dallas would have to rely on a power running game without a proven left tackle (not easy to find) and their defense.

I think that people spell his name that way is only because of the Southern drawl that JERRY has...I don't think it's a sign of disrespect. I call him Jerra all the time and I really admire the guy...

It's just like someone that types "Purcells" because that is how Jerra pronounces his name...that's the way he speaks...

It should not be that big of a deal, really...

;)
