I think that people spell his name that way is only because of the Southern drawl that JERRY has...I don't think it's a sign of disrespect. I call him Jerra all the time and I really admire the guy...

It's just like someone that types "Purcells" because that is how Jerra pronounces his name...that's the way he speaks...

It should not be that big of a deal, really...

;)

maybe/probably not. just one of those pet peeves, i suppose.

Interestingly enough, truth and logic are not necessarily synonymous. For instance, based on the knowledge available to ancient man, geocentrism was a perfectly logical model...yet completely wrong.

Just an observation.

Please, continue with the schtick.

No they just didnt look at the shadow of an eclipse which was available every few years. That or the big ROUND mooncould give a clue with its shadow.

Geocentrism is a purely religous phenomenon.

And this thread is an exxample of people trying to cling to 2001 with all its glory. Jones has not been bad at pretty much anything football related from 2002 onward. Look at the draft, look at free agency and look at his coaching and scout hires.

We are not going to seee stupid trades out of the first to pick backups and scrubs. We are not going to see the Jimmy Johnson pioneered method of saturating a draft for a particular position (Goodrich, Larrimore, and Ross), nor are we going to see him to gross reaching for needs (Pittman, Carver, Carter) as he sets up in free agency to draft for talent.

In 2002, he drafted Williams and Gurode both probowlers as well as picking up Antoniio Bryant who is still playing and Tyson Walter who is still playing. He whiffed on Ross but thats not a bad draft at all. Since then the biggest gaffes in the Parcells era can be laid at the feet of the coach himself with Rogers and Peterman.

people so desperately want to hold onto the idea that what went on almost a decade ago is all of a sudden going to rear its head again. I hope that we have yet another good draft effort, not only so that we have more talent on our roster but also so the armageddonites will finally shut up.

Everything except that Antoniio Bryant is not playing still...unless someone picked him up and I did not hear about it?

I think Jerry will be large and in charge in the draft room. And if anyone thinks that is a good thing then they are delusional.

Well, it is his team. You choose to be a fan of the Cowboys or not..

It's really simple...if someone is smart enough to figure that out.

He has been since 1994 so whats your point? Like i said quit living in 7 years ago. Noone is saying what he did 7 years agoowas anything but boneheaded but if you cannot see that since Jones has changed his ways then there is no point in even talking to you.

If he has not signed...he's is out of the league as of now! Is that a false statement?

That's what I thought...

Wow you get a big cookie.

It does not truly address the matter at hand. Bryant will be in the league next season. Do you argue that?

How can I argue what will happen in the future? I'm not a freaking fortune teller!

As of right now...he's out of the league...

Thanks for the cookie...fuzzy

Yep, that is what you are trying to do!

Answer this question. fuzzy...

Has Bryant signed with a team as of now?

If not, you are WRONG! Live with it...because there is no sense in talking about it anymore. Until if/or he does sign with a team he is not in the NFL...period!

Get it? ;)

So whats your point? Im not debating that so you can have fun chasing your own tail.

By your standard players like Hamlin are 'not in the league' and thus that standard is crap. They are words not definitions. i could just as easily state that no new free agent is 'not in the league' until the next season starts.

Have another cookie.

Answer the question, cookie breath!

Is Bryant in the NFL as of right now, as of TODAY?

Don't dance around the question...just say "Yes or No"...

It is his team. What's your point? It's not normally a good thing when he makes personnel decisions. The last four years our draft picks had BP's fingerprints all over them. They all weren't good, but were vastly better drafts than those of 94-'02.

Hopefully Jerry will rely more on Ireland this year, but I just know after not having much say the last four years that he's just itching to be "the man" in the war room again. And I repeat, as a COWBOYS FAN, that's not a good thing.

I agree with you...I'm a little worried about him too...! But, I believe in giving him a chance this year to see if Tuna did him any good before I pounce on him!!

Yep, but we'll just have to make the best out of a scarry situation. You never know, maybe he will rely on Ireland.;)
