sloppy? i didn't know they judged and graded levels of wins and losses.. a wins a win is a win..

maybe 3 games in 12 days many guys with nicks, bangs and the flu..stuff happens they get some extra days off now.

So, you don't think it was a sloppy game?

I think McCarthy going for it on 4th at our own 40 early was absurd. He shifted the momentum so heavily over to the Giants on that play and it was completely unnecessary. If he would have just punted it, I feel we would have ended up blowing them out. We were clearly the better team on the field.
I didn’t like that
If it’s there 40 that’s different
I think you have an underdog early momentum
Gambling like that is a little more logical if you are way behind or playing a team you know scores a lot of points
In that’s situation against that team it was dumb

Noah Brown was playing great with Rush at QB...this isn't mean to be a Rush vs Dak post. I don't think Dak even looks his way really.
There are only so many targets
He got a couple but he shouldn’t be in the top 2-3 players for targets anyway
I was more disappointed we didn’t get pollard a few more targets

Agree 100%. Both teams looked like they were exhausted and beat up. The Gmen were dropping every play. 3 games in 12 days will bring out the worst in a football team. The real test is how sharp they are for the Colts on 12/4.

Giants made the same mistake, going for it and changed the game
But they had the play. A better throw gets them the yards they needed. You can even argue that Barkley had his hands on it for a sec and should have caught the pass anyway.

We won, I am happy.

True, Mac going for 4th down in our 40 is stupid , but the play call was stupider.
The play call to run the ball should have been done either in 2nd or 3rd down , instead KM decided to pass on 2nd and 3rd downs with 2-3 yards to get 1st down and in 4th down gives the ball to Zeke. Not even a OL as FB . go figure.

When they went for it I knew that was just a terrible decisions. It is one where if you make it it may get you a score but if you don’t it is going to cost you the game.

Just not a sound decision unless you are not 7-3 and in the playoff hunt. That is a losing record move.

McCarthy going for it in his own territory, albeit stupid, is what we blasted the clapper for NOT doing. He is aggressive.

The whole sequence was crazy. We get 8 yards on first down and don’t run until 4th.

Offense

-I wouldn’t be so concerned with the penalties yesterday, teams in short weeks don’t play their best football.
-Dak has to be more aware of where they are driving the football. Cannot take chances when you are in fg range, at worst they should of been tied at halftime.
-Tyler Smith probably had his worst game, but the Giant rookie had a lot to do with that, he looks like a future problem to the division.
-If we can get Zeke playing like yesterday, our run game will be very difficult to stop.
-We are getting nothing out of Noah Brown, we really could use another impactful receiver.

Defense

-Anthony Brown is starting to get exposed as teams are avoiding Diggs. Hooker always seems late and Brown has poor in the air ball skills.
-Did well against the run, although it was a weird called game by the Giants, Jones never used his legs and they were throwing more then they usually do.
-Parsons had another 2 sack game against a quality tackle.

Special Teams

-nothing really stood out, Maher missed a kick in garbage time.

Knew this game was going to be tougher then many realized. 3-1 in the division heading into the stretch run puts this team in excellent shape

some great points. I had no idea why we were throwing as much as we were as we were killing them with Zeke and Pollard.
Dak should’ve learned from watching Rush that this team can beat anyone as long as we don’t turn the ball over.
Agree on Noah Brown, not sure if Odell is the answer but definitely agree we could use an additional legit WR. I love our TE mojo but a third WR that gets good separation would be really nice. Actually wondering if Cole Beasley would’ve been a good add for us. Maybe Washington will eventually be an upgrade over Brown?
Really tired of the penalties…still yet to fix that.
The NYG were just an inferior team. Probably should’ve been a bigger margin.
No idea what the NYG were doing. They had no WRs yet still tried to throw, didn’t get it to Barkley nearly enough and didn’t bother to use Jones to run…maybe they remember Cox KOing Jones last year?
PS, Daniel Jones is NOT the guy for them long term…

If it was 4th and inches I might of let it slide but it was a legitimate 4th and 2 and the play we ran had absolutely no chance of picking up 2 yards. That was my biggest issue with it. Definitely should of punted on 4th and 2.

Totally agree. I'm so sick of running it up the middle and failing all the time. Kellen needs to be more innovative and at least do a play action. That play has failed time and time again. It's time to dump it from the play book.

Possibility the worst call he’s ever made with the Cowboys. Still can’t believe he made that call.
No. That was the fake punt on 4th and long on our own side of the field against the Commanders on Thanksgiving 2020.

I also feel the 3 passes just before that was a mistake. at least one play should have been a run.

Big Mike is the only coach in NFL history that gets blamed for his mistakes but gets no credit for the things he does right. Every coach makes mistakes but the media ignores it. The Giants coach lost the game by going for on 4th-2 at their 40 but I keep hearing he is going to be coach of the year. MM is either a puppet or an idiot to the national media. I don’t understand why. Quinn on the other hand gets a pass.

So, you don't think it was a sloppy game?
NO, im saying the OP labeling a win as sloppy is bad way to look at it...

its a WIN, one win..no style points for the way it was won. If fans are looking for games like the Vikings game all 17 they aren't watching the nfl, this was a short week, many were banged up or sick and no real practice was done. betting they used the GP from game 1 and rolled with it.. Kept it simple and won the game.

the fact we can win a big division game against a 7-3 team with 13 penalties', a missed FG, a late garbage td allowed, and 2 TOs, that's actually impressive.

Its about perspective, we are 8-3 , we won the game. Move on to the next one..

Agree an all accounts.

Personally, I think with half the first half penalties, no INT's and if Slayton doesnt make that improbable catch it may have been a bigger blowout than last week. But then again, we can get a Giants fan in here to do the same thing lol

Their strength was up front, where they were playing backups in the secondary
