The Cruz chants didn't bother me, I hate his dance, but I'm glad he's back and playing I never want to see a guy leave the game injured.

My biggest reaction from this week and the past two weeks is how quickly the local media and the fans have flushed Tony Romo down the toilet and forgotten about him. Its sad and angers me. I don't think he has much more left than this season and next year but to see how he is treated is pretty poor and says a lot about the fans in this town, the media and cowboys fans nationally.

If last year wasn't painfully obvious that Romo covers up a lot of our flaws, then I have no choice but to call that person a FOOTBALL IDIOT. And there are a ton of them around here.

fair points. i am not down on dak or whatever i expect him to to struggle. Its normal.

i felt like when zeke was in they did everything possible to stop the run and it worked.

Texas Stadium was like a library a lot as well, so gotta disagree there. Maybe in playoff games in the glory days it got deafening. But that place could be a tomb on noon kickoffs in the first quarter...folks probly nursing hangovers

Agreed. I saw over 50 games at old Texas stadium (including playoffs) and I was always incredulous about the lack of noise. Contrast that to road games I've seen - esp in Seattle - and the difference is beyond night and day. Heck, I've seen road games in Washington DC and SF where Boys fans made more noise than home team crowd. Local fans to the north Texas market don't understand how fortunate they are and act a bit spoiled it seems when it comes to rallying around the team with vocal game support. Either that or just jaded. Lol.

I'm a STH and I was there at the game and it seemed pretty loud. Not a constant loud but definitely loud at most correct moments. The "Cruz' chant was loud, but i think it was combined with the Boo's and Cruz. People around me were yelling Boo. But no doubt - there were a ton of Giants fans there. Not like the 49ers game a couple years ago, but a lot. AT&T is a definite bucket list venue for opposing fans, so I think that will always be there. We just need the wins to start and things will get better. Definitely some good things that came out of the game, and some not-so-good things. I'll stay optimistic for a while and cheer our Boys on!

There were tons of Giants fans though. Unacceptable.

LOL. There weren't a ton of giants fans there at all. They don't really show up that big. Just wait until the Bears come here. When we played the 49ers in 2014, it was easily 70% 9ers fans.
But yeah, the crowd noise was pretty decent, but once you've been to Seattle, it will never be fully satisfying at home.

i am in the visiting corner section. That is where all the giants fans were. So maybe it felt skewed. Usually there are not many giants fans at all.

I fully expect the bears to have a ton of fans just like last time they were here, just like new orleans, houston and green bay always do.

by the way this is like bizarro world with me complaining about the crowd noise and you saying it was loud.

Give the crowd something to cheer about and they will. Also, the way the stadium is built drowns out any noise that is made. It's a terrible design relative to getting the stadium loud. It's very rare here. Texas Stadium could get deafening. I do not enjoy watching games in this stadium. Too much going on and too spread out.

Not even close. Most of our crowd is an uppity type group who show up to the games because it's a social status thing. JJ has catered to that crowd to make his $$&. I don't blame him for that, it's a genius business decision. The hard core, die hard, rowdy, Seahawk or Raider type fans will never sell out to the concept of this stadium. Average people can't go to more than one game a year of that because most don't want to drop a dime or two for a 4 hour snooze fest.

thats the scary part. We will end up with les miles or something. I don't think stephen would ever fire garrett that is why I usually pay no attention to that stuff because I just don't see it as a real thing.

A few more games where dez is not involved could change that but really I don't see Stephen ever doing that.

Man, I hope not. Les miles cannot develop a quarterback or an offense to save his life. He nearly was fired for it last year.

I agree, even if they decided to get rid of Garrett, can we have any confidence that they will hire the best person for the job and give him the power, freedom and control to do it? Even if they decided to break trend in this regard, how do we have confidence in them to find the best coach available?

To answer your question, no. But at the very least I would expect an NFL coach to understand basic clock management and put together a game plan. I mean, even Dave Camp was able to win 5 games with a rookie drug addicted scrub QB.

I know what I'll get from a Garrett coached team without Romo. Matter of fact, most every team knows what they'll get from Dallas without Romo. If you put all the names of evey high school coach in Texas in a hat and picked a name to be the next Cowboys HC, odds are that he'll be better than what we already have.

Let's just hope the Bears continue to lose (if that even matters) b/c it will be embarrassing how many of their fans are there for that game. There are Bears bars all over DFW and a lot of transplants. I honestly believe a lot of people in this town have checked out on this franchise. 20 years is a long time, a fourth of our lifetimes. People are not going to stick around for that type of futility, especially when the problem is coming from the top. Building a 90k stadium in the middle of that futility was asking for trouble. Jerry has prostituted our stadium out to nearly every major fanbase in the NFL, heck the Panthers had a lot of their fans in the building last season. Words can't describe how demoralizing this is for hardcore Cowboys fans like us. I've mentioned this before, the New England Patriots and The University of Texas have implemented ticket strategies to prevent this from happening in their stadiums. I wish the Jones family cared enough to do this but they don't. I actually think they prefer it this way because they figure a fan coming to the stadium for the first time from GB/Chi/NY/etc will probably spend more money at the game then someone who has been there dozens of times like @theebs
