Thoughts: Inside pass rush vs Outside pass rush

The idea of only being able to have one or the other is ludicrous.

Hi ABQ, it may seem ludicrous, but would you not agree that for the past few years all we have had is an outside pass rush?

I wholeheartedly agree that a QB on the move is dangerous, but I would think unless you have a Romo who is adept and reading defenses while running for his life, that in the long haul that would be better than a QB being able to step up, watch Ware get pushed out and have no one else breaking in. Good thing we got Ellis back.

I think that is why teams like Miami shredded us this year, all day in the pocket. Sack numbers are meaningless if its not in the context of consistent pressure. I think we got that more as the year went on, but before that it was just a fine play by a great player at random times.

You don't have to have a great outide rush to have good containment on the outside.
