Thoughts on Da'Shawn Hand?

Good size, showed nice athleticism for his size.

Looks like a prototypical 3 Tech. I've seen draft guides say a 2nd or 3rd round guy. He doesn't seem to get much of the hype some other Bama players have gotten in this draft.

can generate pass rush.
he looks like a classic 80's/90's 4-3 end but could also slide inside...really a good fit with us.
would be a solid pick in the 2nd or 3rd if he made it that far.

DE's not really on my radar this year. Not against taking one, just haven't been paying much attention. But I'm not high or particularly low on Hand. He looks alright but I'd still rather go DT, OG, OT, LB, S or WR in that range.

Whoever drafts him is also going to have to hire Saban to get him moving. He rep is that he never lived up to his potential, and his motor is questionable. Not a Marinelli type of player. He's going to go in round 2, get some money in his pocket, and proceed to eat his way out of the league.
