I agree with you this is a young but talented team which will get better.

I think on defense as time goes on we'll get much better. It's also easier to be better "sooner" on defense than it is on offense because continuity isnt as critical.

But on offense it's going to be hard to get much better next year or the year after because so many of the skill players are getting older. Bledsoe/Johnson/Glenn. If we get better it's not going to be because those guys get better. They cant get any better.

So ok fine, you replace those guys as necessary. But thats where continuity or lack thereof comes into play. Continuity, and skill level to a lesser degree, is the problem with the o-line right now. You got 2 guys that werent even on the team last year, and a 3rd thats playing a position he never played at this level before. Then of course theres LA who'll be just another year older himself next year (duh). ;)

To be honest, I expected a blowout loss today. I really thought, espeically with a short week, we wouldn't be ready for what Denver had to offer.

I'm much more impressed with this team right now than I was 10 hours ago.

They played better today than they did Sunday against the Lions.

If Denver had Bell in there or ran Dayne more they would have crucified us. We do not defend the edge well against the run.

I shudder to think what Tiki Barber and Larry Johnson will do to us when the OCs get a look at the game film.

Were you watching the same game I saw? As a fan I guess we tend to dwell on the negative instead of looking at the whole. The Cowboys' D would have shut Bell down too. Denver had two successful drives in regulation and the rest were three-and-outs.

Dallas's defense was forcing turnovers and winning every battle in the 4th quarter while Dallas' offense was winning the time of possession battle. This game was not won by Ron Dayne, it was lost by the short yardage play-calling and Billy Cundiff's miss.

Dallas was given a lot by the refs throughout the game. That is the only reason this game was even remotely close.

Is that your unbiased opinion? :)

I totally disagree.... A gift TD and a missed FG and the game is won in regulation. But shoulda, coulda, woulda, doesn't make this a win and we're not going to blame the refs for the loss... As we wouldn't thank the refs for a win...

Only thing I have to say is Go Seahawks!!

What game were you watching and are you related to Joe Gibbs?

I don't know about you folks, but this game reminded me an awful lot of the Patriots game in 2003. We had a similar record going into that game. It was advertised as the Battle of the Bills. Two teams with some of the best records in their conference. Cowboys were riding high on most power rankings before that game. We played the best we could but we were still defeated soundly. The team collapsed as it was exposed as a team playing above its level and the Pats went on to win the Super Bowl.

I look at yesterday's game the exact same way. Only this time, we should have won it and were hanging in every quarter, even with some unlucky injuries. Cowboys look good this year. If they don't go all the way this year, they definitely go next year as long as they fix the oline, get some more linebackers and try and grab a franchise receiver.

I watched a game where the refs gave the ball to the Cowboys after it was clearly fumbled out of bounds, which resulted in their last TD.

And that Gibbs comment was low man.

You mean that the situations leading up to the game were similar, right? Because we didn't have a chance in that game, while this one went to OT and we looked every bit their equal.

I agree with Hostile on this one.

This team has exceeded my best expectations.

We have a defense lined with Rookies. We have a Rookie starting at RT. We are implementing the 3-4.

Give these rookies a year in the weight room and the RT, entire DL will be improved next year.

The words "alot" and "throughout" sound to me like you think we had them in our pocket and we were playing like the Texans. You site one play, that when looking at the replay, showed that the call was the right one.

We held our own against Denver, who without a doubt is a top team. You can look back and pick over every detail you want, but we got nothing handed to us.

And the Joe Gibbs comment..well of the shoe fits...

I'm going to pray to the football gods that we can have another draft like this year's go-around. Can you imagine this team if it reloads with the same amount of young quality depth we added this year? Yikes!

Newman was in bounds, arm down before going out of bounds.
