LOL at all the people thinking we will draft a QB in the 1st/2nd/3rd round in the next couple years.

Tim Tebow is a winner,as annoying as he is,the guy is a winner.

Yeah, we saw about 100,000 posts and threads about that dope in Tennessee where people said the same thing.

I dont care if he's a "winner" in college anymore, it means nothing. Too many teams play offenses that are nothing like NFL schemes.

Tebow has zero chance of being a regular starting QB in the NFL. He does not have the passing skills.

He won't even be a 2nd string QB. Or a 3rd team practice squad QB.

He's not going to be a QB.

Don't misunderstand the nature of this post.

1. Tony Romo is better than most NFL Quarterbacks. Despite recent struggles, I'm glad he is our QB.

2. I'm for us thinking QB in the near future to prepare for our future

So, with that out of the way, let me mention 4 QB's coming out soon that I like. I'd like your feedback on these four, and also toss in someone else if I'm missing someone.

*Colt McCoy - Despite some great play from him, I actually am not THAT high on him because I think he makes some pretty bad decisions and is a little turnover prone in my opinion. But he IS mobile and can play.

*Sam Bradford - I'm not sure he can hold up to the shots he will take in the NFL, but he does seem to be a prolific passer, has a good attitude, and seems to make good decisions.

*Jake Locker - This guy is my personal favorite. Good size. Very athletic. Great thrower of the FB, and never quits. I would LOVE for the Cowboys to get this guy.

*Jimmy Clausen - Something about this guy I don't like and I can't quite figure it out. He looks a little goofy, and maybe that bothers me :), but he also seems a little fragile. But I can't deny that his play has come a LONG way this year, and having Charlie Weis will help him be ready for the NFL.

I don' have Tebow on this list because I just don't think he throws the football well enough.

Romo showed me enough from 06-last yr (and even in preseason this yr) that he warrants plenty of more time. As I've said in several threads, I firmly believe he is nowhere near 100% physically, the tape doesnt lie. He doesnt have as much zip on the ball, its not coming out with the same tight spirals every time and he is missing wide open guys on short and long throws. It also appears to me that he has some sort of problem throwing the ball to the left. All this indicates to me that he has an elbow or shoulder problem and has been trying to tough it out and play through it.

That said, we didnt see enough of McGee yet to know enough, but the limited bit I saw I kinda liked. I will be very interested in seeing him in TC and PS next yr.

Of the guys you listed above, I know I'll probably be in the minority but I think McCoy and Bradford will both be mediocre to average starters at best. Clausen is not going to be a good NFL player. Locker I do like, and he is getting exceptional coaching in an NFL style scheme right now. I heard Mortensen on the other day, and he said he has heard from several personnel people that Locker, and not McCoy or Bradford could end up being the #1 pick and appears right now to have the best NFL skill set.

He DID look a little goofy and was super fragile. I thought he was overrated, I thought he just sucked. He got better last year and now he's got it down pat. He made Golden Tate and Kyle Rudolph work out with him extensively in the offseason and man is that paying dividends. Not a lot of 20 year olds are as hip as he is to busting *** in the summertime and Tate said he was dragging his *** out of bed at about 6 am, I like that.... He always had that world of talent and he wants to be great. He buys into team philosophy and I think he could really work in about 5 different styles. He's turned into a fiery leader for that team, he is super vocal out there now. He's almost like Rivers junior out there now, and i'd certainly take that. He's evolved, which is exactly what he was supposed to do as the #1 prep player the year he came in. And he still has a lot of upside too, just like Locker does I must remind. And I could give a **** about Notre Dame, just in case anyone is wondering. I'm a longhorn devotee.

I need to see more out of Locker before i'm ready to agree on what some of you are saying. But he has a ton of upside, he always has. I'm a big fan of his and it seemed like he fell off the radar a little last year cause Washington was absolute garbage. I worry about his happy feet stunting his NFL potential...he could play about 3 or 4 different positions in the league if you ask me. In fact after he got hurt last year, and he was suddenly nowhere to be found in draft discussion I kinda thought he might just become the next Matt Jones kinda prospect. He has run a 4.4 on numerous occasions.

I like Bradford more than McCoy as an NFL prospect. As a longhorn fan I hope McCoy ends up in the perfect situation where he can succeed. I think I like him on the 49ers right now...he can really be gameplanned especially in the NFL. I think Bradford will be very consistent and not too flashy but a very effective starter for 10 years. Kinda like a low tier top 10-15 QB for 10 years. I'd bet on it.

We don't need a new QB. We have one. We just need a coach who can pull the greatness that I know he has, out of him.

I will not give up on Romo. It would be idiotic to do so. It would be even more idiotic to draft one of those guys on the list. They are early draft picks.

We just need a coach. There are alot of NFL QB's out there that aren't as good as Romo, winning alot of games. They have discipline and accountability instilled in them from the owner on down. We have none of that. None.

Who is almost 30 and isnt very good without TO.

First round QB please Jerry!

WR or O-Linemen.

I don't see use taking a QB in the first and I think many of these people are delusional if they actually think we will.:D
