Again, not claiming they are dominant against the run with Lee. However, recent history says they've performed much better with him on the field than with him off it.

Don't think that's all that hard to understand.
You going off of last year? You can't cause the defense ain't the same. Our defense is bad against the run period. With or without Lee we give up 100 yard runners. Let's not act like Lee is some magic elixir that fixes the defense

Anything that places an All Pro LB on the field and removes Jaylon Smith from the field for some portion of plays is an enormous net positive.

Again, not difficult to understand that a defense is better with its best (all pro) player.

What we have at 1T now is a huge drop off from McClain, and even he was just decent.
We need a Snacks Harrison.

Makes too much sense to have an anchor that can sit down and clogs holes. Rod wants a 279 pound try hard orphan witha cute nickname to play the 1T.

That's a pretty strong statement considering we've all seen first hand what terrible drafts and terrible draft picks look like look like.

I've been over this a million times.

Great coaches somehow tend to have great drafts. Yet, GM's in this league have great drafts and bad drafts and it just so happens to coincide with who the coach is at the time.

Scott Pioli sure was a genius in New England and then went to Kansas City and sure didn't draft well there. May have had to do with Todd Haley and Romeo Crennel being his coaches instead of Belichick.

Jerry looked like a smart guy when we had Jimmy, then an idiot during the Switzer, Gailey and Campo eras, then suddenly a deep roster with Parcells only to have a barren roster under Wade and now a fairly deep roster.

Just like Carl Peterson was a genius GM that coincided with Marty Schottenheimer, then was passe when Gunther Cunningham as the HC and eventually was a genius again under Dick Vermeil only to be an outdated GM who couldn't draft no more when Herm Edwards became the HC.

Our issues are on defense. In particular, getting interceptions. Funny how that isn't a problem with Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne or Barry Church now that they are on different teams. But no matter who we bring in we still cannot get turnovers under Rod Marinelli.

After a while, you can't blame the talent on the field when you change up the talent and the old talent goes to different teams and suddenly starts to produce.

Again not hard to understand......this defense has been bad with or without Lee. Either they are bad or terrible stop making it out like they are top 5 with Lee and bottom 5 without. Bad is bad either way

Not only did I not make them out to be top 5 with Lee, I specifically, in fact, stated multiple times that they are mediocre to below average with him. That does not change the fact, however, that the devastating drop from below average to Worst of All Time contender is enough in itself to be a significant/main factor contributing to a loss.

Again, not sure what the issue is here.

Pretty much. Unfortunately #5 was the biggest obstacle today.
Really? Can Garrett tackle? All the freakin coaching in the world can't will guys to not suck. Jaylon sucks. He can't do one thing right. Cover, tackle , shed blockers, read, shoot, you name it. Nothing. You think Garrett wanted that? Church could at least tackle well. Heath can't even get to the sideline in time from the hash mark. And when he arrives, he stands there and watches the CB flail in the wind. He gets faked out of his jock. At least yesterday you never heard his name called. Only because when you do, it's for something bad. He has not made one play in 5 games.
Scandrick has been getting beat left and right lately. And when he isn't, he's committing a stupid penalty. I give the rookies a break because they are rookies. But I'm seeing more out of a few of them already that says they should be starting anyways. NOBODY in the secondary can hit. It's all grab and hold on.

Soft right up the middle is what this defense is. soft.

1. Daks throws on the run in first half were elite.
2. Zeke looks close to being himself again.
3. Jourdan Lewis looks like a 5 year starter without having a pre-season.
4. Terrence Williams doesn't do the right thing alot of the time.
5. What does Jason Garret actually do?
6. We can all live with the Dez we saw today.
7. David Irving is awesome and then perplexing in span of few minutes. How does 6'7" 290 pound guy just bounce off a QB. How?
8. Previously said enough about Jaylon Smith.
9. Dallas wins last two games with Sean Lee in there and Dallas is 4-1. One player on defense shouldn't make that much of difference but here we are.

#9 is the freakin truth!!! Sean Lee is a run-wrecking machine and a leader. We need to start drafting leaders on this team!!!
