Hatchers has 5 tackles and 0 sacks total over the past 4 games.

He was doing better when Ware wasn't playing. Are Ware's troubles dragging down Hatcher or is Hatcher mailing it it to save his health for his next team next year?

I think Ware's play is dragging this defense down. They looked better when he was out against Green Bay. This doesn't mean they've dropped in performance as well.

He's been putting out bad tape since the Giant game. He has been a complete zero the last four games.

I keep meaning to pay more attention, but then I get sidetracked. Is he getting more attention now that Ware can be effectively double teamed? Or just wearing down at his age and the end of a long season? Either way, he's been really quiet.

Ware isn't getting double-teamed that often it looks like. He's running out of plays on single teams....

That's been pretty much the issue for him. He couldn't even lift his arm at one point. It only makes sense for him to not be as effective as when he was healthy.

At least when he is out there, it gives the other spare tires a chance to make a play.

Guys I thought hatcher played well today. Was consistently in backfield. No sacks but he was good

It's clearly the injury, but it's really irrelevant the cause of his play. He sucks right now. He's old too and he clearly doesn't make or break a teams defense as is evidenced by our years of blowing big games, despite 19 sack seasons. We need nasty, young talent up front that punishes the offense. And Ware's salary is a big problem that stands in the way.
