Thoughts on Hooker

He's really been quiet all season, I don't think he's made much of a name for himself that we can't bring him back on the cheap. What are your thoughts and what you've seen from him

he has not had enough snap to determine. Allt he snaps are going to Kazee, Kearse and D. Wilson. I would argue he better than all three if afforded the opportunity. This coaching staff has it favorites!

He's been ok and hasn't really hurt us much. I would bring him back on another 1 yr deal over Kazee

I don't know how much he has played but I have seen him make a few ordinary plays when he is in there. I don't know why he doesn't get more plays. They seem to like Kearse and Kazee better. But when Wilson is healthy they have 4 safeties. How many can they play at once?

I'd like to see him get more playing time, especially with Wilson on IR. I am not a fan of Kazee and I cannot imagine Hooker is worse.

Go big nickel

Hope it works out.

Kazee gave up the long TD last game.

Our S play has not been good at times.

Both safeties aren't themselves after the injury. Maybe next year or maybe never.

Not hearing a guy’s named called often isn’t the worst thing for a defensive back. I think he’s played well when given the opportunities, I trust him more than Kazee at this point.

He’s solid but not a deep center fielder type.

Kazee is better.

I have a itch now after signing a Hooker.

Haven't really noticed him much for better or worse. Don't think he'll ever be the same player pre injury

i'd like to see Hooker under a full offseason, camps, preseason and full reg season. here.

it's hard to gauge how he is post-injury as he has not had the full starting bid at FS opposite Kearse.
Seems like backup reserve, special teams and used closer/around the line.
his role seems to be so so limited and i'd wonder how many snap counts he's had in the defense and what roles..

I've been pleasantly surprised by Hooker run support near the LOS as people were saying his tackling was bad. He had an opportunity for an pick playing single high last week, but he dropped...I don't recall Kazee doing that all year.

Next year, Hooker should be quicker n faster as the injury should be much better by then. I'd like them to sign him due to his upside.

I don't mind a cheap Hooker.

I think he made a nice tackle game 2 or 3…I guess it’s safe to say he’s due to make a play.

(or he’s officially washed up )

Hooker and Kazee make me think that it probably takes two full years to get right after an achilles injury.

Hooker is a playmaker. He didn't forget how to do that. He is probably a half step slower for now.

Kevin Smith was never the same after his.

I think generally speaking, despite complaints, safety play has been better than in years past. But still too many issues, usually with Kazee playing deep that need to be cleaned up.
"Better than in years past" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement with this team's secondary.
