Who has watched him?
I honestly do not think we will have a chance at Leihart, Quinn, or Young if they come out this year. This kid looks to be a prototypical BP type QB with some mobility! Smart, great arm, mobile....
thoughts?

70.5 Pros: Prototype size; has got a great arm that can make any (I mean any) throw; tough pocket passer who will stand inside the pocket until the last moment to make the throw, great mechanics with a compact release and good holding and releasing points, does a good job of going through his progressions, has great mobility and can do damage with his feet when needed (averaged 350 rushing yards a year in his career), very durable, good accuracy, has carried the very limited Vanderbilt team on his back and led them to a great 4-0 start this year; amazing leader who was named Team Captain 3 times, can make an accurate throw on the run; has lots of experience starting at QB for 4 years
Cons: Sometimes forces throws into coverages; needs some work on his deep ball accuracy, footwork could use improvement, his stats do not pop out but that is because he has played with almost no help on offense, can take unnecessary risks

Ya I am so off and on with Jacobs. Sometimes i really want him and sometimes I dont. 41 TD's and 4 INT's is a hell of a feat I dont care where youre playing. Plus the huge size, I would like him although im a bit scared of him. A year or two under Bledsoe would be perfect for a guy like Jacobs though.kartr said:I like him but would prefer Jacobs because he's just as athletic and has more accuracy and is a better decision-maker. Jacobs is also from Florida and they have one of the best systems for developing NFL players. We have had a couple of those and they served us very well.

kingwhicker said:No way on Shockley- We've had enough of the Georigia QBs. Cutler will be a really good QB, but he won't be there when we pick, I'm pretty sure, even if we tank the season- he'll shoot up the draft boards. Anyway, they won't draft him even if he's there.
