Thoughts on Livings and Bernadeau so far

Position holders until we get better in the off-season. Livings hasn't been too bad, is what I expected. Bern has been below par. If they can continue the progress that we saw from the Balt game, this line has a chance to give Romo/RB's better opportunities.

Livings has been pretty good. Bernardeau has had a few good and a few bad moments. Mostly been solid.

It's our Tackles that have killed us this year. Free and Tyron have to be either leading the NFL or close to it for combined penalties from T's.

Well to defend the tackles a bit, they really haven't gotten much help cause we have been so concerned with the middle. Its like a boxer with hurt ribs, he is trying to defend his middle from attack so much that he is open to getting punched in the face.

They have been serviceable, with Livings being much better than Berny. Hopefully they get better as the season goes along.

23 million dollars is quite a bit to spend on placeholders. Reminds me of the Scandrick deal..

Livings has been good. Bern sucks so far but given his unfortunate off season it'd be tough to make a call on him yet

I was blown away at the way Costa, Livings and Mac moved the LOS regularly.

Bernadeau has been pretty poor, with really just one good game, one average and three poor efforts.

Livings has been pretty good, one good game, three average, one bad game.

Free has been average in 3, bad in two

Smith has been average in 3 or 4, good in the others.

Costa has one great game...hope he can continue.

This. Ultra-sorry deals for below-average players.

you go bargain hunting you are lucky if you get one out of two to work out.

I am disapointed in Bernie since he was supposedly the one with more upside

And those that keep trying to say he has sucked because of his injury are as usual wearing rose colored eye glasses

It isn't the only place we have gone bargin hunting, thats exactly what Kenyon Coleman and Brodney Pool were....of course they aren't OL so they must not exist in your world.

coleman was serviceable

pool

pretty much what you get when you bargain hunt

in any position

but of course you seem to think its just ok to ignore the O line

Livings has been more than servicable but Bernadeu has been horrible. A total liability in both the run and pass game.

So Coleman and Livings have that in common, serviceable. Berny and Pool aren't good enough, but at least Berny made the roster. Both positions need help, but your obviously biased regarding one of them. Point blank of the matter is we can only choose who we get in free agency, if you go into the draft with your mentality you will end up reaching for a mediocre player and failing.

'Seem to think'....glad you used that term cause it isn't what I think or most people around here think for that matter. Noone wants to ignore the OL, you just make some grand statement for affect.

Hopefully, eventually you will see the team's total picture and not just zone in on problem.

well when the problem threatens to put your franchize QB in the hospital and on IR only a moron would not concentrate on it

There is a huge difference in everyone's level of concentration. As much as everyone wants an OL like we had in the 90s, none of them required the resources that you mention we need right now to 'fix it'.

In a draft, anything can happen, and anyone can drop or rise. In that environment, unless your in the top 10, you can't come in with just one position group in mind to draft or else you will fail.

Livings has been a beast in the run game. I like him overall. Much better than I expected.

Bernawhatever hasn't been very good and we should look to upgrade his position at some point. I'll gladly take him as a backup player though.

Sometimes people forget that all FA at bargain prices are not Laurent Robinson, serviceable is what you get at that price above average and we were not in the bidding. Living is what we expected, Bernadeau we thought had a higher floor, these are the reasons these two were not resigned or courted highly by other teams. At least we did not get a tackle like 2010 that really struggled and we were sure we could coach up cause we are the cowboys. I am so glad I cannot even remember his name. Oops Alex Baron came back to me.
