The kid has been a starter for 2 1/2 seasons. It is a little premature to bury this guy.

Garrett as an OC has one responsibility. To coordinate an offense that puts his playmakers in the best position to succeed.

Can you say he does this with Romo?

Where is the slant? Where is the stacked offense (WR) that is so successful with other teams?

Why do we throw so many verticle pass plays and why do we run such deep routes.

Romo needs to be the vocal leader of this team.
The NEW OC needs to give the skill players January off then back to work 50-hours a week. There is no voluntary in this.

Weight room for Romo, targeting his legs for strength.

Make a video of every forced pass by Romo and make him study them.

Romo needs to classroom the video of every defense and study them with the NEW OC.

There is too much talent in this kid to toss him out. He needs a mentor he respects and an offense tailored to his strengths.

And he needs an offensive line that can protect him.

We need more patience.

The coaches are failing Romo, as they are every other player. This is obvious.

I'm willing to be patient with Romo only because I fear what kind of slug QB Jethro will bring in here!

Romo needs better coaching, better receivers who care about running precise routes in a system, and a better O-line who aren't a bunch of goober who can't remember a simple snap count. Romo's not perfect but he's not the problem as I see it yet.

Sounds great TD3, but we aint getting a NEW OC. Its a pipe dream. We are stuck with Ginger and it will be our undoing.

I think he will be fine with a decent line. I hope he got our O line coal for xmas.

Jerry's doing Romo a disservice--and potentially ruining his own team's future--until he brings in an experienced offensive coach.

3 seasons is enough to judge a QB, especially one that has been in the league for what, 5 or 6 years now? Its not like he was a rookie when he took over for Bledsoe.

No it's not. There are numerous examples of QB's who didn't show much in their early years. I'm not going to get into that again with you because you are too dense to realize it. Go look at Favre's first three years in the league...seriously. His first ever NFL pass was a pick 6. I'm sure you buried him then, didn't you? That is, if you were even old enough to have seen it.

We've seen Romo perform brilliantly, so the capability is there. We are a Crayton dropped pass away from not even having this discussion.

And he's been really bad for about one half of those 3 seasons, and utterly stellar the other 2 1/2. And he's played most of the bad after a broken finger and with back spasms.

He needs a better coach and a better system.

You again. Romo Defender Fanboy #1.

First of all, I lived in Falcons TV-territory in 1991. I did see Brett Farve come in for some mopup and do nothing. But then again, he was a rookie QB.

The next two years he was ok on some decent Green Bay teams. But those were his 2nd and 3rd years in the league. Tony Romo is in his SIXTH SEASON. SIXTH. Count 'em. And he had the advantage of sitting and learning for 3 years how to be an NFL QB, which Favre did not have the luxury of.

I still cant believe you are comparing Romo to Favre. Favre needs an extra wing of his house to hold all his hardware. Romo's can fit in a cardboard box.

We've seen Romo perform brilliantly, yes. However, we have seen him fail time and time again in the most crucial of situations. During the Playoffs and the playoff drive.

I don't buy that whole 2 full seasons crap that fans try to spin. Fact is, Romo is 28 years old. Next season he'll be 29. At what point should we start just realizing what we are getting from Romo is what we should expect? When he's 33?

I like Romo. I thought he's ended the season poor but what can you do? Is there a better option? I'm far from a Romo apologist but I still think there's only 2 quarterbacks in this league i'd take over him and that's Brady and Peyton and with this offensive line I don't think I take anyone over Romo. He's a solid quarterback. If you want to use the 2 full seasons excuse I think its valid when it comes to judging what kind of quarterback he is. I don't think you can label a guy a choker after 2 seasons. I think that's unfair. But running the guy out of town? I have to question how long you've been a fan because anyone who witnessed the Stoerners, the Hensons, the Hutchinsons.......wouldn't be so quick to run a guy out of town. Sure we love the Meredith's, the Staubach's and Aikman's but between Aikman and Romo there was a lot of trash there and I recommend guys to revisit that history before wanting to kick Romo out of town.

To be fair, it was more like "Drew Henson Sooner Not Later over Vinny Interceptaverde"

There was absolutely no reason to keep trotting vinny out there in 04. We knew what we had with 40 year old vinny.

I think those of us that want to run him out of town don't want to because we think he sucks rocks, he obviously doesn't suck, but he's not someone who many of us think will ever get us to the post season and we want to hurry up and find someone who will. Obviously there's no better option at the moment, which is why JJ ought to pick a QB high and groom.

You don't want this coaching staff grooming a high priced #1 draft pick QB. That is simply money flushed down the drain.

Again, Romo has the tools and played more disciplined under a stronger head coach with a better OC involved in Sparano. We wandered a decade in the QB wilderness looking for a successor and if you think Jerry "Q-Hutch" Jones is your guy to find someone even better than Romo please pass what you are smoking.

Get a more disciplined organization in place (not just for Romo, for everyone), get a better OC in place, get the O-line fixed and we are more than fine with Romo.

First of all he's not a kid... He's a grown *** man, my age to be exact. I don't get a pass in my profession for being only 28.

Second of all, he turns the ball over way too much and doesn't have the pocket awareness to just take the sack or throw the damn ball away!
