Thoughts on Spencer...

Yeah, he does. But not nearly as much as the weak side guy. But like Ware's first 4 games when he got there a few times but just didn't get the sack, Spencer's season has been like that. His 10 QB pressures are only next to Ware's 12 on the team. He's getting there and I know that because I go back and watch the line play in all our games. And he's a very good fit because his strong suits in run play and pass coverage are what is required from the strong side.

You apparently don't watch the games closely because you don't know these things.

Seems out of position way to often. Sack numbers are pitiful for his draft status and what he was brought here to do. Questionable instincts.

Seems to be a coaching problem that needs corrected in between Sundays!

It was a great win for the Boys yesterday.

Was watching the game on DVR and noticed a few times where Spencer focused on the QB instead of the back and overpursued, getting caught in the backfield with the back running between him and the line and resulting in pretty good gains for the Falcons.

I like the aggressiveness, but think he needs to work on his situational awareness and not blow by a play, effectively taking himself out of position.

Anyone get a better "whole game" view of how he did yesterday. Maybe I just locked in on him because it happened during a couple of close snaps.

If I remember correctly..........they ran the same play and Ware did the same thing......went outside and left his gap.....but then again.....Carp was on that side and he just watched the RB go right by him ....

Uh, you're not seriously comparing Spencer to a future HOFer, right? Spencer is definitely improving, but he is no Jason Taylor. Taylor had 5 sacks his rookie season in the league, that is more than Spencer has in THREE seasons COMBINED.
