I kinda agree, but he did show emotion something the other players and coaches lack.

I was very proud of him. He showed real heart and real heartbreak. I dont believe it was all about him. I truely believe he felt the loss for the whole team.

I dont think there is anything with him crying at all.. It just shows me that he really does love this team and his QB. I hope TO remains a Cowboy til he retires....

Sorry man but you're wrong about that. Emotion is not like a switch you can turn off or on when you want. Those were his real feelings, nothing wrong with it at all. What he did was very inspiring and appropriate.

I think people are missing something here.

I feel that he probably feels he could have done more on the field and is upset with the outcome but I think more over it is the flack that Romo has caught for going to Mexico.

If in fact T.O. did foot the bill for Romo, Witten, Carpenter and others to go to Cabo he may not only feel the pain of the loss but the pain of his quarterback being crucified in the media for something that T.O. did to make amends to his QB and his girlfriend for comments the media took out of context in the first place.

He is trying to be a good team mate and player and no matter how hard he tries the pre-concieved notions of him will never change in many peoples eyes. It is one thing to have the media come down on you for things you do to yourself but to have the media come down on a friend and a team mate for something you did for him as a gesture of kindness has to hurt even more

Its funny... all this talk about how he has changed

This guy has been this way forever.

Cried for himself and his teammates in San Fran.
Wanted desperately to be part of something in Philly.
FINALLY found a home in Dallas that gives him what he gives them. 100%.

Sorry... its the same guy.

MIck, when San Fran and Philly lost, he threw the teams and his QBs under the bus. Garcia and Mcnabb were ridiculed by Owens. Of course he was wanting more money during that time so that probably had more to do with his team spirit than anything. When he lost in the Super Bow, he didn't claim any love for his Qb. He buried him. If TO was upset about his contract status now, he would not care about Romo, his team or anything else. He would care only about TO. For Owens, it starts with the money. Everything else for him follows behind.

PS-how's the dog? ;)

Great response.

Anyone who shows anything but love for TO at this point needs their head checked.

He gave us all he had and then some, and then was willing to put himself out there to protect a team mate.

I for one am very happy to have him on the team and view him as a true Cowboy. I think he always has been a true Cowboy, it just took time to get him here.

In losing to the Giants, 21-17, they become the first No. 1 seed from the NFC to lose its opening playoff game since the NFL playoffs expanded in 1990. we have lost 6 straight playoff games tying the lions for the longest active streak. now we have a wr crying on tv. we are the laughing stock of the NFL.

You people that say T.O. is not a true Cowboy are too funny.

You better get used to him being a Cowboy because his name will be littered all over the Dallas Cowboys record book when he hangs'em up.

And he will go in to the HOF as a Dallas Cowboy, if he makes it.

In this day of FA, there are few Bill Bates, if any.

T.O. has bled, sweat, and now cried for this team. (blood, sweat & tears, .. get it)
He has played with broken bones in his hand and with torn tendons in his hand. He didn't have to do that, he did it because he is a Cowboys team player.
He played last year instead of having season ending surgery on his hand, .. risking further damage. He didn't have to do that, he did it because he is a Cowboys team player.

He played yesterday, 3 wks after suffering a high ankle sprain, .. which some are saying is a 4-6-8 wk injury. He didn't have to do that, he did it because he is a Cowboys team player.

Listen, the number of years you play here, or if you were drafted here or not does not constitute whether you are a true-blue Cowboy or not in my eyes.

What you give to the team, what you mean to the team, and what you do for the team does.

I am proud to say Owens is a Cowboy, he has earned everything he has gotten here.

I wish all of the Cowboys players gave their all the way he does.

He has earned my respect as one of the best, with his performance on the field, and his work ethic off the field.

Agreed.

But more importantly... we are wasting what he has left in tank.

No we aren't. Some haters will make fun but who cares. If you perceive us a laughing stock then thats too bad.

Manny people have brought up Moss in this thread.

Moss is ONLY happy because he's winning. End of story.

T.O proved last night there's something more than that in his case.

T.O. has proved there is something more than that on more than just one occasion.

I don't know why but I get real uncomfortable seeing guys cry. I wish he hadnt on T.V., but to me it just shows he really wants to win and knows his window of opportunity is fading. I wouldnt mind him being a Cowboy until he retires, but I would completely understand if he leaves next year to a team he feels will get him the ring NOW.

Yeah... but Moss catches that pass that Crayton gave up on.

Moss still haunts me.....
