Thoughts on Throw-Backs

I like em all, heck let em wear them. i don't get why people get so freaked out about a darn uniform. Hell the fans don't have to wear them, the six digit earning guys on the field do. I love the Cowboys throwback... Now if they only could couple the white helmet w/ star with the royal blue jerseys that are posted by Alexander, silver pants with dark stripe and dark blue socks (for road games of course). That would be sweeeyat!! Hell... bring back the Canton Bulldogs while they're at it.

Denver didn't wear their throwbacks against us. They just wore their alternate orange jerseys.

I like the Pats, Oilers, and Chargers. The Cowboys too, but I want to see the white version.

I kinda liked those. I like the matching blue stars. There is another version with white stars... it starts to get a little too cheesey.

I like the NFL honoring the start of these franchise granted some ugly uniforms but for many who watched these teams in the early days there are a lot of memories.

The red stripe in 1976 was a gimmick, but I'd like it as a throwback. White jerseys would be fine by me. Simple, clean, classic. No fancy patches.

Yeah, i agree, once a year is cool, but i really see no rhyme or reason as to when they where them now. The titans had the Oilers on again, once is enough.

:hammer: This. I kinda like all the unis around the late 60s to late 70s the best.

Always found them too plain, because they were matched with the silver pants. OTOH, I really liked the road jersey version.

Oh dang that's sweet. I've been looking a bit for one of those. Can you get those anywhere Alex??

A company called Mitchell & Ness might still be making them.

I love classic uniforms. I think we have some of the best, but I would have really liked to see our Cowboys come out in the 1960s road whites with blue shoulders for the game against the Dallas Texans. I guess we only have the home blues with white shoulders in our inventory.

Survey: Which throw-backs do you like the least/best?
BEST: Buffalo, Tennessee, Patriots, Dallas ;), Chargers, Skins (hate to admit it, but the dark burgundy w/ the arrow helmets are sick)

WORST: Denver (damn those socks), Eagles :ralph:, Steelers, Packers

They are vulgar. Give me the classic dark blue jerseys any day.

I have one of those! My fave 'Boys jersey! It's more of a royal blue than navy...

This is my all time fav Cowboy uni, right down to the black cleats. I wouldn't complain if these became our home colors at some point.

Right on, man.

And you're right, a big yes to the black cleats.

I'm ****ing sick of the throwbacks.

It's ridiculous.

1 week is all you need. 1 week where every team plays in them.

Same with the pink. 1 week is all you need.

When you start throwing the pink with the throwbacks the combination just looks ridiculous.

Whats next? Are they gonna have Halloween costumes on next week? Are they gonna play the late December games in Santa hats and the following week with party hats on for New Years? Maybe the linemen can wear shoes that look like deer hooves while the skill positions dress like elves and QBs playing the role of Santa himself.

Its just another example of the NFL being 100% about making a buck. Put out as many different jerseys and as many different items with team logos on them and collect money hand over fist.

Its out of control.

I would have, also. Maybe they did not sell very well when they wore them in the 90's against Detroit.
