Thoughts on Will McClay being the GM once Jerry steps down

I'd be fine with it. Personally, I have a lot of respect for McClay. Jerry doesn't always listen to him so he takes more heat than he probably deserves. And, everyone misses on evals. That's part of the game.

I’d feel great about it as long as Air Quotes gives him (and the HC) power to make decisions. If McClay and the HC make the football decisions and Stevie makes the marketing decisions then I’d be happy.

It's difficult to have an opinion on anybody in that inner circle because it's a hive mind tainted with the owner's ulterior motives. People sing the praises of McClay but honestly I see failures left and right,,, are they partially because of him or not?

I used to work audio visual at the Raider Hotel. Believe me, Al Davis rode that organization till death. The presser on night the hiring and firing of Lane Kiffin was both amazing and sad.

Steven will be the Broligarch and we can only hope at some point that he will do a Mark Davis and at least make an attempt to find a GM. They tried with Mayock, it didn’t work. I guess we will see how Brady factors out.

But this family is a Davis Model. There was nobody Jerry respected more in football more than Al Davis.
