I’m beginning to wonder if we’re ever going to reduce the penalties. Every season it’s the same thing. The penalties are killing drives and negating good plays.

Even with different players ........ that's on MM IMO. I'm not sure he's addressing it in practice as he should.

It’s a lack of discipline that we’re going to have to correct. It’s part of the problem that’s keeping us from getting to where we want to go.

It will be tempting to do this with two rookie Olineman for us, but Dak thrives on beating the blitz. My hope this week is the other WR’s get involved more. We can’t just be Lamb centric.

I see some falling into the "who did they play" nonsense. Any team has to be taken seriously in the NFL. A lot of people whistled past AZ last year and that bit us in the butt, and put doubt into the team all season long.

The penalty bias against the Cowboys predates McCarthy. It even predates Jerry all the way back to the 1960s. Just think of all the big games the Cowboys have lost. Most of them feature a game altering call or non-call that directly hurt the Cowboys.

And that is just the big games. The penalty numbers over the 21st century are consistent - the Lions and Cowboys get called for a lot, and don't get many calls, while GB and Pitts get far more favorable calls and non calls there way.

Over the 21st Century, the Lions and Cowboys are tied for the most 100 or more penalty seasons, and the least 80 or less seasons. The Packers and Steelers get calls against at nearly half the rate, and get calls for at approximately 40% more.

well first off, I dont actually coach or play in any games. So how is it even possible for a fan to "Overlook," teams?

2nd thing, I actually said that good teams lose to weaker teams, and gave you the Bengals and Pats as an example. So where did you possibly get that i thought Saints game would be easy?

BUT, also remember that the Giants were coming off an 9-7 record and a playoff win heading into last seasons opener. The Giants were gonna give us a good game.... and it was a 40-0 beat down the like I hadnt seen in many, many years.

I honestly prefer to see us have a tough game where we have to play from behind. It’s too easy for us when we walk away with a win. We looked unbeatable last season when everything was going our way and we jumped out to big leads. The big problem we saw was when we got behind. We struggled in those games and got buried in some of them. We have to show some resiliency and battle back.
