Offense

-As I wrote prior to the game, Broncos don't make mental mistakes, have to play clean football against them. 3 huge early penalties, 1 basically took away a chance for a TD, another drive killer and a 3rd extended a drive. With the margin being so small with a terrible defense, this made a close game turn into 14-3 in a blink of a eye.

-Denver's defense is the best in the league in my opinion, especially when they play at home. Although their weren't many sacks given up, Dak was under heavy pressure throughout the day.

-Why was Lamb coming in and out of the lineup? Is his ankle still bothering him? Same goes for Turpin, doesn't look right.

-Schott has to be more aggressive knowing his defense cannot stop anything, punting in the 2nd half at his own 45? That was a terrible decision. Also, some of his play calls were puzzling, why are you in shotgun at the 1?

-Dak once again struggled with those pre-snap looks when they have everyone at the line of scrimmage. Chicago did the same thing with success.

-This game proves, the offense is still good, but somewhat overrated. The two tackles positions are their biggest weakness in my opinion.

Defense

-are given an early gift, then get totally destroyed, as they could of given up over 50 points against a very average offense.

-when I watch their run defense, it is either lack of discipline, too slow to react and not being physical enough.

-as I said prior to the game, if you just sit in zones, don't affect the QB or the WR's it was going to be a long day. Nix is most successful using those quick, timing routes, if you don't disrupt them, forget about it.

-I heard a stat late in the game that Nix wasn't even knocked down a single time. Denver has a real good OL, but this is inexcusable. Eberflus has to bring pressure if they cannot get home, but refuses to do it, outside of a few delayed blitzes that never hit home. Where are those inside linebacker blitzes?

-secondary is a complete mess, but we were playing players off the street, without any help with a pass rush. Every QB in this league would be successful.

Special Teams

-Denver's return game really hurt the Cowboys when they started to make a little run late in the 1st half, before the wheels came off

I will say this, not opposed to adding players at the deadline, if they are apart of the plan for the next few years. This franchise cannot just expect to draft/develop and expect this defense to get fixed, they are going to need to use the draft/fa and the trade market to get it done.

What I would do with the defense for the rest of the season is evaluate who is apart of the group moving forward and who needs to be replaced. Don't wasted your time with vets who won't be around next season. Start your DC search as Eberflus just isn't the right fit.

I heard on the fan this morning that Dak was pressured on 21 drop backs (they gave the count by each OL.I think they said both tackles were main culprits.

I guess it's "we're not going to win this game, we can't win this game" a team really schemed us well so i'm not going to be involved much, I might as well look like i'm not interested

see but when we're winning games, everyone thinks that they're upcoming and "not that bad!" lol

Both tackles in pass protection spent most of the plays getting folded back like a piece of paper. The o-line that was supposed to be a strength needs to be more consistent. Injuries are not helping. And LOL to those that were telling us that rookie Jaydon Blue would be our RB savior.

Week. It is possible to be both up and coming and have a bad game (especially against a to 3 D).

With that said...I dont think they are as good as some think...but they are young and will have growing pains. However, Steele is just bad. I also think they will be better when Beebe is back at full strength.

The defense was trash, and the head coach pretends like they are the doomsday defense and punts on 4th and 1 from midfield down two scores.

Their offense is clearly their best unit, you have to put the game and their hands and take some risks.

Denver only got to 3rd down a few of time the ENTIRE game.

Not attacking Surtain's backup early and often was criminally negligent as well.

The tackles are fine and offense is stil one of the best in the league. Denver got us all over the line but guys will just remember the Guyton false start and Cooper beating Steele for a couple of good rushes. Smith, Hoffman, and Booker got whooped by Allen and company. So tired of the board and local media giving the Cowboys offensive line interior all the credit but the blame goes to the tackles if something goes wrong. Dak could never step up into those throws. Give Denver’s defense credit. Dak played his worse game of the year. Schotty did not attack the cornerbacks that was Denver’s weakness. Just impossible to stay with a good defense on the road when you can’t stop a nose bleed with our defense. I am concerned Jerry is going to do something stupid. Man I hope I am wrong……

The defense has always been bad but now your down your top 3 safeties and second cornerback. We had no chance in this one.

This team is inconsistent as its made up right now, it is missing pieces and I say coaching, that is why there are wild swings, honestly do not see it getting much better maybe when some of the injured come back and get their legs under them and these wild swings get modulated a little. I think the last part of the season will be key to see what exactly this teams needs to address in the off season, right now too many disparate parts.

.......and the point is? We arent getting any offensive upgrades. Indeed, there's a discussion to have that the imbalance is such that to get this Defense to average we're going to need to trade something of value from the Offense.

The point was that while playing one of the top defenses in the league, the OL gave up a lot of pressure despite low sack #'s (and providing context as to how much pressure)...nothing more, nothing less.

Not sure what other point would need to be made there???

for 30 years we have never matched up well with Denver.....we got to have a pass rush...on Eberfluse not blitzing until we have

better pass rushers

I don’t care what kind of personnel you have. You can’t play and STAY in a soft zone all day with seven men in the box only sending four. Our DB’s were 10 yards off the ball. You can’t do that!

We did it in Charlotte and got absolutely destroyed. I don’t care if I get beat over the top occasionally. I’m putting 8 or even 9 in the box and taking the run away and sending one or two extra men on disguised blitzes a bunch.

It’s just nonsensical what our coaching staff is doing here and they refuse to change anything.
