Thoughts/Opinions about yesterday's blowout loss!

Both tackles in pass protection spent most of the plays getting folded back like a piece of paper. The o-line that was supposed to be a strength needs to be more consistent. Injuries are not helping. And LOL to those that were telling us that rookie Jaydon Blue would be our RB savior.

Running Blue between the tackles is nonsensical

I think any team has a good chance to beat the cowboys with this defense, would not surprise me if they lose to even the raiders
Relax brother. Arizona will be the ultimate test for the team and the coaching staff. I am leaning towards Arizona right now.

Offense

-As I wrote prior to the game, Broncos don't make mental mistakes, have to play clean football against them. 3 huge early penalties, 1 basically took away a chance for a TD, another drive killer and a 3rd extended a drive. With the margin being so small with a terrible defense, this made a close game turn into 14-3 in a blink of a eye.

-Denver's defense is the best in the league in my opinion, especially when they play at home. Although their weren't many sacks given up, Dak was under heavy pressure throughout the day.

-Why was Lamb coming in and out of the lineup? Is his ankle still bothering him? Same goes for Turpin, doesn't look right.

-Schott has to be more aggressive knowing his defense cannot stop anything, punting in the 2nd half at his own 45? That was a terrible decision. Also, some of his play calls were puzzling, why are you in shotgun at the 1?

-Dak once again struggled with those pre-snap looks when they have everyone at the line of scrimmage. Chicago did the same thing with success.

-This game proves, the offense is still good, but somewhat overrated. The two tackles positions are their biggest weakness in my opinion.

Defense

-are given an early gift, then get totally destroyed, as they could of given up over 50 points against a very average offense.

-when I watch their run defense, it is either lack of discipline, too slow to react and not being physical enough.

-as I said prior to the game, if you just sit in zones, don't affect the QB or the WR's it was going to be a long day. Nix is most successful using those quick, timing routes, if you don't disrupt them, forget about it.

-I heard a stat late in the game that Nix wasn't even knocked down a single time. Denver has a real good OL, but this is inexcusable. Eberflus has to bring pressure if they cannot get home, but refuses to do it, outside of a few delayed blitzes that never hit home. Where are those inside linebacker blitzes?

-secondary is a complete mess, but we were playing players off the street, without any help with a pass rush. Every QB in this league would be successful.

Special Teams

-Denver's return game really hurt the Cowboys when they started to make a little run late in the 1st half, before the wheels came off

I will say this, not opposed to adding players at the deadline, if they are apart of the plan for the next few years. This franchise cannot just expect to draft/develop and expect this defense to get fixed, they are going to need to use the draft/fa and the trade market to get it done.

What I would do with the defense for the rest of the season is evaluate who is apart of the group moving forward and who needs to be replaced. Don't wasted your time with vets who won't be around next season. Start your DC search as Eberflus just isn't the right fit.
Heres my best advice,

my thoughts about yesterday's blowout,

it was a team disaster all levels including coaching were so bad just erase it out of your memory and move on...

It's not gonna do any good with a solid week of complaining and advice on how to get it better...

it just was that bad, this is one of those that you just throw in the trash ,and move on there's not even part of me that thinks the coaches should show this stuff to the players it was so bad it would be hard to look at, there's no one group or player, nothing that went right..

It's one of those things you just want to forget.....

Just prepare for the Arizona game That's all you can do is look forward...

Week. It is possible to be both up and coming and have a bad game (especially against a to 3 D).

With that said...I dont think they are as good as some think...but they are young and will have growing pains. However, Steele is just bad. I also think they will be better when Beebe is back at full strength.
It is also possible, that they play better against below average teams and get exposed against good teams.

Even against below average teams we are still chipping with the TE and helping from the RB.

This should tell you all you need to know.

Prescott put up 20 Points in the first half of the Philadelphia game Not his fault I already dropped passes in the second half and fumble is is that what we're gonna do that offense did play well against Philadelphia for the most part I mean they started the game hot with no training camp and hardly any real games no preseason I mean

Put up 40 against a Parsons lead team Sorry is that something you're just glossing over they should have won that game I mean I wasn't that a top five defense i'm pretty sure that one of the highest ranked defenses in the NFL and they dropped 40 on them you're saying they can't play against better teams..

Too many things go wrong for sure I don't think they're overrated when you have that many penalties on the offensive line putting you behind the chains they just weren't physically blocking well and it affected the whole offense but we didn't see that that often this year.

Those are examples of our offense playing well against a better team yeah they had some mistakes but the play designs and the play calls and the quarterback put the ball in the right place this happened to be dropped Some weird things have happened in some of these games but yeah someday in my opinion is an anomaly it just went bad it went S early just like the Bears game it's going to do that and sometimes it'll just snowball and you can't get out from underneath it..

But they're still scoring 24.5 points per game on the road and over 300 yards of offense up until The debacle in Denver.

Been pretty consistent at moving to football regardless of the talent in front of them up until Sunday I get it you're gonna try to come back at me and I'm not gonna listen I know what you think but we do have one of the better offensive football they just had a bad day I believe it's all the mixing and matching from the injuries on the offensive line they were playing pretty well with the backups and now they started adding their starters back in which I think is throwing off the consistency for a week or two it's trying to get back on track...

Whatever the reason we just can go back to the Green Bay game they scored 40 on them and that was with Parsons on the other side once again.. But like I said they could have easily put up 30 points against Philadelphia and beat them at home because everything went right except for the catches they had like 6 drops in that game all in the second half and that fumble by Sanders I get it that's part of the offense but they did move the ball really well...

So I'm going to take this game as an outlier and we'll see moving forward but again if the first 10 minutes of the game you start making all the mistakes getting all the penalties all the bounces going the other direction for the other team Sometimes things snowball and you get away from your game plan and it just isn't good but I believe they are a very good offense that are occasionally gonna have a bad day and unfortunately for the defense who sucks really bad if you don't score on just about every drive you're going to lose anyway So what does it matter?

My thoughts: they suck. They suck in that perfect mediocre kind of way of sucking that allows just enough small flashes of excitement for Jerry to keep the cash register ringing and for some amount of fool fans to delude themselves that they might be a real contender. News flash - they're not.

I would take how Eagles and the Packers played as an outlier.

Good teams dominate poor teams. They don't let them hang around and they definitely do not lose to them.

Our offense can compete at a high level, but our defense is by far the worst in the league.

We have the best kicker in the league and can't use him because we give up 33 points a game.

We are truly a below average team. Dallas can beat up the downfeeders but not able to beat the good teams. It's the same story.

I agree, but we can't do this more than once in this season.

You go to the well of "Let's forget that happened and move on." Eventually you will drown not realizing you are stuck at the bottom of the well.

I bet you can It is a 17 game season and lots of even really great teams lay a couple of eggs a year they don't play perfect games I realize that this year's a mess we're under 500 we've already gave up all our mulligans it is what it is it doesn't matter you just move on you move forward what else do you got to do what do you think you could say in hearing that's going to change what the Dallas Cowboys do on the field What exactly how much complaining and angry venting therapeutic text do we need for you to feel better because do you think any of that is changing what's on the field no so let's just move forward as fans and look forward to the next game...

48 hour rule all the griping that goes on during the game on game day and then Monday on Tuesday we should start talking about the next game and by Wednesday there should be no talk about the game that happened on Sunday..

It's not it's part of a long 17 game season it is what it is you can't just move those aside.. Do what you want it's why I have you on ignore and I'm gonna have to go back to my rule and not open up anything that's on ignore and not reply to any of y'all because you all are too annoying you're like little toddlers you don't get their way now you think your opinion is somehow gold and in concrete it's not The media the fans all the nonsense that goes on do social media is not the Bible it is not the hard fast rule these are just a bunch of flying opinions and I'm telling you they have the capability to do that..

move on just move on let's talk about the Cardinals... :banghead: .

I was thinking much the same thing.

How many of "these kinds of games" are we having?

The game against the Broncos reminded me of the Bears game. Right from the start, in tough road games, everything looked to be going the Cowboys way.
Against the Bears they got a stop on Defense on the Bears opening possession. Then they were moving it great and heading for the End Zone when Williams fumbled on the sideline and Bears recovered. Then it all went downhill quickly from there.
Against the Broncos, kind of the same thing. They got the Interception on the Broncos first possession. The offense moved it down to the End Zone nicely. But couldn't get it in from the damn 1 yard line and had to settle for a chip shot FG. It was all downhill from there.
Very similar, unfortunately. But you could just tell it went from looking great to looking terrible - and you knew it wasn't going to get turned around. I gave up on both games before half-time, and never turned it back on again. It was obvious they were defeated and there was no reason to waste my Sunday afternoon on them

Yes, your opinion is trash.
