Throw Mr Gathers the dam ball

I hear a knock is he doesn't know the playbook. Dez was here forever and didn't seem to know what he was doing many times.

its actually that simple but our offensive coordinator and head coach are that dumb. 31 other teams would find a roll for rico. no reason he can't pull down 2 or more catches a game. dak would definitely use him. i have no doubt

Aside from feeding him a roll, I wonder what others would do with a guy who still blows assignments.

It's not that simple. Throwing 10 yard jump balls is not a good plan - it requires perfection to throw exactly the right spot that is too high for the defense, but still just within the reach of Gathers, and if the throw is a bit high it would lead to an easy INT. An open receiver at 10 yards is a much better target. Plus it hangs the receiver out to dry by making him vulnerable to being hit while in the air and reaching for the ball. Plus, there is no running after the catch. At most that play makes sense in the red zone only. Accordingly, to make the team Gathers will need to have convinced the coaches he can do more than that.

Lol. Another thread. Ok that’s it. Put him on the 53. Let him line up and help Chaz block.

my goodness, people are SO scared that once he is cut, that he might catch a pass or, GOD FORBID, a TD for another team, that they want Dallas to just award him a spot on the 53....he hasn't earned a spot in the top 3 TEs, why does he deserve to make this team? because he was a good rebounder in college?

please....

Any moron can learn the button hook..hell the first three routes one learns when eight years old are the square in, square out and button hook.

And if a NFL QB can't throw the ball 31.5 feet at a consistent height...then I guess the Dak haters are correct. Good lawd.

Lastly...this is "tongue in cheek ladies...tongue in cheek".

Go Cowboys!

I really don't get the level of interest pro or con for Rico. He's a bubble player. Personally, I'm rooting for the guy but not enough to spend any time debating him trying to convince anyone they should change their mind.
