Nobody has moved the goal posts on this. I don't know why facts are so hard for some to understand.
It only works as a point in time fact though. Jets and Seattle were winning teams when we played them and then they were not because we beat them. Chargers at one time were not a winning Team and now they are so did we beat a winning team or a losing one?? Just depends on when you pull the fact and if you want to make a team look bad you pull the fact at the point in time when it proves your argument.

Yeah, it's very flawed, particularly early in the season, but offers more value the further you get in the season. But even then, it's not a great metric without considering a lot of other factors.

It is a stat that is in flex possibly through the final week of the season, but that doesn't mean goal posts move. The stat changes as the facts change. And, it can change both ways.

Frankly I think the stat is meaningless until the season is over

THEN look at who you beat

BUT even that is relative. Did you beat a team when it was halfway healthy or crippled?
DID you beat a team that had just lost its starting QB?

Agreed larger sample size equals more precise data. Using it as a week to week stat is very flawed.
