If that's all you see, it sounds like you didn't actually watch the game. His receivers dropped numerous passes - especially #16 who probably shouldn't and won't be on the team - and his pass protection was horrendous behind a second-string offensive line with substandard players.

Those are mitigating circumstances and key factors in his overall numbers. I can recognize that despite the green jersey.

As long as you give the same wide berth evaluating Dak and Showers, no one can be logically critical of your assessment.

But if you can't give Dak the same benefit of the doubt with his inevitable foibles, your position will be tough to defend.

The first two pages of this thread was great. The last 10 was only about wentz and trading away the number 2 pick. MeH

Sorry I can't resist. One more Wentz stat of note: He had a 0.0 QBR on dropbacks under pressure.

I keep reading that if Wentz pans out its somehow a huge knock on Dallas and we screwed up big time? What bizarre logic is this?

It's not like he fell to us and we passed on him.

With that rationale you could go back in time and rue every player that we DIDN'T trade up for...it's a ludicrous way to view things.

As if 5 years from now we're all going to be sitting around talking about that time we maybe possibly could've traded up to draft Wentz but didn't. LOL

And I hope to do exactly that.

They're in real trouble if that Lane Johnson suspension holds up.

And I expect Peters to be 'hurt' yet again as well.

Brooks, the OL for Philly, went out early with an injury, but it isn't expected to be serious. Bradford could be in serious trouble if the OL keeps getting dinged up.

Wentz looked like **** last night.

I don't know if he will have a decent career or not... But I do know he was craptastic in that game. Accuracy was way, way off.

Bradford could also be in trouble if anyone expects him to actually play QB at an acceptable level. Ever, I mean.

Nate Sudfield played fairly well. Not reading into anything with him, just adding some useless trivia.

As I said on draft day, it wouldn't surprise me at all if 2-3 QB taken WAY later than Goff/Wentz ends of being better than at least one of them.

The scary thing is, it also wouldn't surprise me if Dallas spent the 4th overall on a back who may end up not being the best in class.
Hope not, of course.

Wentz has no one to throw too. Eagles had 4-5 legit drops on passes our receivers would have caught.

This can't be right.

I've seen some of our resident experts say that he "played well under duress" in this very thread...this being the main reason he looked so good. (LOL)
