I believe wholeheartedly the Titans will fight hard to win Thursday.

Won’t it help them even more to win both?
No matter what Jax does?
Direwolf63's thinking is that even if the Titans fall to the Cowboys and are 7-9 going into the season finale at 8-8 Jaguars (assuming JAX wins on the road in HOU the previous week)....TENNESSEE will be in better shape to do so with key players and many starters not playing at all Thursday night.

They are a mess. They need some momentum going into that jax game.

Yeah in all truth they need to win. They have been getting whipped all over the place.

Don't look now but the terrible Texans who we barely squeezed by, took the Chiefs to OT and beat the Titans.

Week 18

If Jags win they win the division for sweeping the Titans

If the Titans win, they win the division from having a better division record.

This is true no matter what happens next week

So basically you are stating the Titans should mail in the loss to the Cowboys by not playing Henry and most starters much ---if at all.

Win or lose, the Titans season rests on beating the Jags week 18.

So they will be resting guys who are hurt or banged up. They will always want to win, of course. But they will have an eye on the following week.

Cowboys should win this game by double digits, bad weather or not

Just checked, 50's and no rain for gametime.

Other than a Cowboys win, I don't want anything.

Just looking at things through the Titans eyes. What matters and what doesn't. And how they may react to it

Yeah, even though the Jags have the same record and have already beaten the Titans, the winner of week 18 will win the division, or so it appears

Thaf is what you want -- a guaranteed Cowboys win.
Your thread is about the Titans' last home game meaningless win or lose -- so you suggested what TENN should do ---rest their starters for game 17 in Jacksonville.

As I stated before -- Titans have lost straight -- the first four with Tannehill as the QB.
They can -- and --should go all out to beat Dallas.
But that's not going to happen with Malik Willis at QB Thursday night....nor on the road versus the Jaguars in the season finale.
