Tim Couch, Dave Ragone, David Carr--Other Ideas *< Means Ricky Ray >*

Brad Johnson is absolutely NOT a joke and is exactly what you look for in a "backup" QB . Tim Rattay would be another interesting option . Personally I'd pick up B. Johnson and draft a QB in the 3rd round . Maybe D. Stanton or T. Edwards .

I agree. Johnson is probably a pretty good option if he's available.

when was the last time you posted this retread thought process of yours and the thread WAS NOT shut down? after the first 6-7 times the average semi-intelligent person would figure it out and move on.

Is that why you keep responding to each one? ;)

I wouldn't have a problem with Brad Johnson either. As long as he understands the role the cowboys want him to play and he accepts that I think he'd be a nice fit. And given his experience, he'd probably be a good mentor to Romo as well.

The only problem I have with Johnson is his age.

I agree, he is old but to be honest, I don't really see that as much of a problem. I mean, he's not our starter. He's a guy you are looking for to back up Romo in case he goes down. Johnson is very capable of this IMO. The other advantage to his age thing is that he's likely not going to expect to be the starter. He will understand his role. Because of his experience, he will also not need as many snaps to get ready to play. To me, his age is kind of a plus.

oh holy hell - a vACowboy post that doesn't dog on jones.

ONE DOES EXIST!

What about Jay Fielder???? Look at his career numbers on www.nfl.com. Seems like a decent backup who could also be mobile like Romo so the offense wouldn't have to change much. I don't think a statue like Johnson is the way to go.

Someone (with a split personality a.k.a. multiple usernames) has a very deeply ingrained discomfort for Tony Romo.

Thoughts?

Let me assure you that I have only the one user name, lumpy. How about you? How many do you have? I'll bet you live in a glass house, I don't.

This place REALLY, REALLY needs a "no new threads" policy like Extremeskins.

it's been recentely suggested. my own thought is if you have (3) or more threads locked in a week you started, you lose the ability to start a thread for a month.

Well, that's your opinion. Personally, I'm waiting for TheProphet's. His always differs from your own. :)

I don't know. Let me check?

"DallasEast?"

"Yes?"

"What's your username?"

"'DallasEast'. What's yours?"

"'DallasEast'."

"Small world, huh"?

"Yup. How about that Tony Romo?"

:)

If I've thrown a rock by insinuating that you're duplicating threads and posts via multiple usernames, I apologize. The idea doesn't have any merit and never occurred to anyone else. Ever.

you mean like when people notice the overuse of "brother" from them both?

I know it's probably not true, however, sometimes I get this sneaky suspicion that these two guys are fans of another team (tag team partners) and are here trying to pretend to be Cowboy fans, and in the process, iritating all of us!

I could be wrong, and most likely I am, but....?

;)

Jerry. Stop it. Just stop it already. Everyone, except those 'two', are imagining the overuse of the term. It's all in our heads. :)

AntiLynn would be proud of these 'two', wouldn't he? ;)
