Cowboys went 12-4 last year. We're viewed as a team on the rise. The rest of the league went to work on Garett's scheme, broke it down, figured it out. That is why even tony was struggling, weedon and castle had no chance. It happens every year to hot teams, the best systems get tweaked and changed up a little to combat other teams studying them....apparently Cowboys were slow to do so.

It's not "Garrett's scheme", it's "Linehan's" scheme. And did you watch the first two games with Romo? It wasn't the same scheme as last seasons.

One of the biggest problems I had with the quarterbacks this year is how conservative their play was.

They should have held the ball for much longer and looked at their options develop down field, and taken more chances.

Instead they focused on mostly check downs and that put tremendous pressure on our defense as a result.

Bottom line is other coaches win with bkups at a rate of 50%.
Dallas and JG was 0% over a lot of games, not just 1 or 2 games.

That's is crazy! What a stat... This changes my perception of the coaching staff. Man.

Weeden flat out said he was told to be conservative even though it went against his nature. Cassel implied it. Jerry Jones even confirmed that they were coached to be conservative "to a degree".

Why Moore was more aggressive was more than likely a circumstance. By the time they got around to playing him, the idea of hanging on and stealing wins for Romo was gone and the pressure to play it safe was pretty much gone. Coincidentally, the interceptions grew when doing so.

That is also on the staff. This is not just a "Weeden sucks" and "Cassel sucks" issue.

It was a nice group screw up.
