Just curious why it's a no for Slater. He is the best OT in the draft. Is it because you don't like the player or don't want OL in the first?
Slater's got short arms for an O-Tackle. Plus, he's not a generational type of player the way Penei Sewell is. Lastly, we need to address our seriously depleted Defense with our early round picks, not Offense, if this team is ever going to get fixed to be able to compete during the playoffs.

There are many talented O-Tackles in this draft who can be taken in the middle rounds.

You think Stokes is a good value at #10?
Stokes has moved up into the 1st round for a reason. Do I think he's worth drafting at #10? No. But I do think Stokes is the 3rd best CB in this draft. If both Farley and Surtain II are gone by the time the Cowboys draft at #10, I'm afraid Stokes won't be around if the Cowboys decide to trade down in the 1st. Stokes definitely will be gone by the time the Cowboys pick again in the 2nd round. Cowboys need a stud CB out of this draft. Don't let this opportunity pass us by simply for being greedy.

Have you watched tape on both Sewell and Slater? Sewell had tons of potential but he isn't better than Slater right now regardless if people think he has short arms. He beat Chase Young over and over again and Sewell doesn't have that on tape. Sewell is a great prospect and I think will be an amazing player but Slater is the better OT right now and still has upside to get better.

As far as defense, it's true they need help but Dallas shouldn't reach for a defensive player cause it's a need. You take BPA regardless.

The value for defensive players is in the 2nd round and later.

Again depends on who is available at 10 would decide which way to go.

I don't have Stokes as a top 5 CB much less top 3.

Just curious is that your list? Farley, Surtain, Stokes?

Before you say it I'm not saying my board is perfect and right just curious where you have guys

CB is extremely deep in this draft. Reaching for need destroys teams. When we pick at 44 there will be 3-5 CB’s we like.

No way should OT Slater be taken at #10.

Either take CB Eric Stokes or trade down and take LB Zaven Collins or a big NT while picking up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick.
Stokes is no first round CB. Running a fast 40 doesn’t change that.
