Time for a boycott of Jerry Jones' Cowboys

This reminds me of that part in Half Baked when Jim Breuer gets fired. "whose commin with me"?

hey hostile are you the guy i hear on the dcfanatic radio show?

you guys are the best. you make it bearable after these horrible losses.

wish the team would listen and learn how the fans of this team really feels.

as pissed off as i get with the team and jerry i could never boycott them because it wouldn't serve any purpose.

i wish jerry would hire someone to be gm, however, i do applaud his enthusiasm and his love for this team and franchise. i'm sure there's nobody who feels it more when this team fails than jerry himself.

so lets just keep the faith and hope they learned some valuable lessons this year and get things turned around.

at least we know that teams can turn things around quickly in this league.

Yes sir, usually the one going off like a ballistic missile. I try to live up to my nickname and provide a touch of hostility. Mixed with some sanity.

Thanks for listening. Hope you'll call the show sometime.

A boycott wouldn't serve any purpose?

You're using a double negative to say Jerra would not react to a boycott that works?

A boycott that works. That is the key phrase, mein freund.
If fans were fed up enough (another variable) and they did not buy jerseys, shot glasses and stadium seats, Jerra -- oh, ya betcha -- would listen hard.

And, by the way, I don't think you are allowed to use the word pissed, so you will probably be banned now.

does dcfanatic do that show year round or is it mainly just during the football season.

you, dcfanatic, shango, grizz & there's one other guy i've heard on the show but can't remember.

i'll try and call sometime instead of just listening and throw my 2 cents in, but it's nice to know there's somewhere to go and vent or listen to others who share your same views.

i also have enjoyed the preseason shows when grizz & shango are at training camp because there's some great insight you don't get even on the dallascowboys.com website.

Mainly during the season. Coach Bartel is the other regular and we have guys form here on the show with me all the time.

I'm not boycotting to send a message to JJ. I'm not buying stuff 'cause I'm ashamed of MY team. I don't balme it all on JJ. He's paid these guys to perform and THEY aren't producing. That's whats so F-uped abouth is. Its not any one persons fault, its a total organizational effort.
I wont spend a dime, applaud, smile, for any single one of them until they hoist up the Lombardi. Its the ONLY way they can make this sting go away. They are and always will be my team, but they screwed up bad this year.
It was and will ever remain unacceptable.
You want to send a message? Show up at TC this year and read them the riot act every day, every session. Hold them accountable. Don't applaud and feed their egos. Let them know this aint enough, you must win it all. Then and only then, will you have EARNED our support.
Until then, the merchandise could be free and I wouldn't get it. How pathetic are we if we accept this years effort to get a jersey at 1/2 price. *** !!

And next week, a boycott of air. Don't like sharing it with certain people.

I understand being pissed, but how are these particular words "not going to be a Cowboy fan anymore" formulating in your brain? Practically, it is like saying one would give up air.

I would rather have an owner putting all he has into the team instead of being cheap and not wanting to have a contender.

I am stayin on board the dallas train, choo choo!

Anyone interested in a serious boycott of all Cowboys' merchandise, web sites, sponsors, etc. please pm me. I have been a loyal fan for over 43 years, and this is the first time I have been ashamed of it. Jerry Jones has stripped this team of its reputation as a class organization.

Even though we have more talent than almost any team in the NFL, we are in shambles due to Jones' insistence on bringing in any player he feels might have some talent, no matter how the player affects the team and its reputation. Then he ties the hands of the head coach by applauding selfish whining because it brings attention to the team.

I hear so many of you crying that there is NO way we can cut Owens & win. Well, the last team he was on did it, and how are they doing? Let me see....they humiliated us in the last game of the season-one where each team had to win to make it into the playoffs. While the Cowboys are sitting at home watching more news about how one of Jerry's thugs arranged still another shooting of innocent people, the Owens-less Eagles are preparing to play in the NFC Championship for a chance to go to the Super Bowl.

So, anyone who is tired of Jones' way of running this team--our team by the way, let me know. If you really think this IS Jones' team, just how long would he keep it if no one showed up at the new stadium, or bought 'Boys merchandise. It is the fans who are the paying customers, and it is time we said ENOUGH!

First of all, if you want to boycott the team go right ahead. Its your money and you can do what you want. However, considering that Dallas was again the #1 merchandise seller this year your boycott is not going to do a dam bit of good.

As for me, I buy every dam thing I can afford with the star on it and I am dam proud of it.

Secondly, last time I looked Jerry is the one spending millions of his own dollars for your Sunday entertainment. Jerry is the one that is paying over $700 million of his own money for the new stadium (Arlington was capped at $350 mill). Jerry is the one writing the checks out to sign our key players to extensions. Jerry is the one that pays Cupcake and Tecmo their salaries.

You pay for JACK..........Jerry wants to win so bad he can taste it, he puts everything into the team. When Tuna first came here he told Jerry they needed a bubble to practice in and the very next day Jerry had the dam thing built. Jerry has paid out over $115 million in signing bonus money over the last year to keep our key guys from hitting free agency.

So how about a little appreciation for what Jerry tries to do instead of sitting and whinning like a little girl that your "Sunday entertainment" is not acceptable.

I no longer care enough about it to be apathetic, one way or another. Whatever the Cowboys do I will watch with disinterest if at all.

It's your money, buy whatever you want with it or not as you see fit.

Great playoffs we're having right now, though. The teams are all playing hard and enthusiastic football and they are a joy to watch regardless of who wins or loses. I'm going to really enjoy the Super Bowl, too, regardless of who plays.

If the Cowboys play, OK; if the Cowboys don't play, OK.

If you want to give Billionaire Jones your money, OK; if you don't want to give Billionaire Jones your money, OK.

Life goes on.

Damn, I'm getting to be a crotchety old fart.

Thanks. It is a game and a game I enjoy the Cowboys are the team I have long been a fan of and will continue to be a fan of. As for Jerry I agree with some moves and disagree with others.

Danny Snyder isn't cheap, but how has that worked out?

I'd rather have an owner that opens his wallet too, but then let's the football men make the decisions.

i got to do a draft show once and it was a blast. dcfanatic and i don't always get along in here out of our own differences but i respect the hell out of what he's setup and is doing. he believes in it enough to take it to that limit, it deserves respect.

i even got a couple of the draft picks right for the teams i was chosen to pick for. :) well, after i tried to take taken players...

Of course he won't. Then he'll be back around trying to act like he never doubted it in the first place and that he never really was on a boycott he was just speaking while angry.

Whatever regular excuse is generally made up by people who jump on and off the bandwagon depending on what the Cowboys record ends up being.

Is he jumping off the bandwagon, or just not buying merchandise?

From his original post it seemed to indicate he was boycotting the team, in general, at this point.

he keeps coming back to remind us he's leaving.
