Time for a boycott of Jerry Jones' Cowboys

i think some of you are being a little hard on the original poster...

i think he was trying to say this: the gutless, collect a paycheck, can't wait to take a vacation in mexico, 2008 installment of the dallas cowboys is one of the biggest embarrassments in franchise history. i concur with that analysis. there are some exceptions to this...witten, columbo, choice, etc. most of the rest of you (coaches included): you know who you are. i'm sorry you couldn't take the pay-cut in a playoff game. philly decided they could....

by the way, i've been a die-hard fan for 32 years...and will continue to be so. hopefully, maybe some day soon, this current team will deserve fans like that.

not questioning your "fan-hood" but i believe you either root and love the team or you don't. you might not like any number of individuals, but you are rooting for the star. the players, team, and franchise don't need to "deserve" your support or fan-dom. you either give it unconditionally or walk away. don't put stipulations on the support you give.

obviously, after 32 years...i don't have "support stipulations"...

...but neither will i turn a blind eye to 2 consecutive, gutless performances (with everything on the line, plus texas stadium's last stand). want to fix that deep-rooted problem? don't ignore it...dig down deep, and do the things that must be done. e.g...i like mr. cupcake as a person; but as a coach? he's got the inmates running the asylum.

did the players really give up on parcells, and his rigid ways?...who the hell did they give up on this time, and how 'bout the next?

and that's why i prefaced my statement as i didn't want it to come off the wrong way. i just didn't agree with the wording of "deserve".....much needs to be fixed with this team...but as much as we gripe...we have no control...in the end...we'll both be still have our passion the next sunday they take the field no matter what happens behind the scenes. :beer2:

i hear you...and i agree. better get me a six-pack of that, though...;)

I fully back boycotting Cowboy merchandise or even going to the games. It would be a good thing to do and send King Jerra a message. Whether or not it is enough of a message to override his universe sized ego is uncertain. While I am for boycotting, what I do not get is some of these people saying they are ashamed of the Cowboys. I can easily agree 100% with anyone who is ashamed that King Jerra is the GM and owner of this team, because that is how I feel. I feel he is by far the biggest cancer of the Cowboys.

What I just don't get is how some can be ashamed of the Cowboys. To me, if you are ashamed of the Cowboys, that means you are ashamed of great teams of the 1970s, and the 1990s. It means you are ashamed of anyone who wore the star on the field. It is one thing to say you are ashamed of a certain player, the owner, the so called GM. But to say you are ashamed of the Cowboys is something I just can't say or do. I will never EVER be ashamed of the Cowboys.

The only thing I will be ashamed of are players who tarnish the Star, people in the organization that disgrace the star and any idiot owner or GM who is dumb enough to think they know something about football and they keep ruining this great team and tarnish its once great reputation. I love the Dallas Cowboys, but I hate Jerry Jones.

i'm no fan of jerry jones; but i think he did everything in his power to put a winner on the field, this year (and last year). i think he under-estimates character, sometimes...but then again, this ain't the boy-scouts.

i don't have a problem with people venting in just about any format...esp. after the last 2 performances i witnessed. rage on.

Hey anyone boycotting PM me I need tickets for next seasons home opener

Bring that ****!! I know how many points I have!

I have already boycotted any merchendise and cowboys stuff...I'm not wasting my money on that crap anymore. But I'm still going to watch the games if I can. However I must say I'm embarrased to be a cowboys fan right now. This team is a soft underachieving joke and Romo is a prime time choker.
