"Why can't ya'll just put in TJ Yates? I heard he's really good."

Uh, Leinart doesn't have the talent. He sucks. Maybe he'll suck a little less if he actually gets serious about his profession -- unlike before -- but I doubt that happens.

And even if it did, he'd still suck.

I seem to remember some people thinking Yates was a good draft pick? Don't know a thing about him, but if he weren't a rookie I'd play him instead.

I'd play Bledsoe or Testaverde over Leinart.

What career?

He never had an NFL career.

He isn't going back to college so the thread should say "Time For Matt Leinart To Find A Career".

He's gonna fail and it's gonna be fun to watch. #@$@# the Texans!

Trent Dilfer says Yates is very comparable to Romo. He needs some time to develop, but he sees very similar attributes.

The Texans finally catch a break with Manning being hurt and now Schaub is hurt. :laugh1:

Houston did not hand out a 2 mill a year contract to Leinart this off season to have Yates take over the job.

The Cardinals and Vikings probably thought the same thing when they traded for Kolb and McNabb, respectively.

But they were given the chance to prove themselfs.

Right now to by pass Leinart and go to Yates in my view makes no sense.

You just extended Leinart contract to remain in Houston why would they then go to their 3rd string without 1st going to Leinart?

I'm not saying it will work out for him or not same could be said about going to Yates

I am not saying they should start Yates. I just don't think the Texans are obligated to start Leinart because they signed him for $2 million. Things change. They get to see both guys in practice and evaluate each of them. If they truly thought Yates was better at this point then they could play him.

That was a joke, and I didn't start this thread lol. What the heck...

We'll see if he can do anything at all this time around for the team he's on.

I've got a feeling he won't accomplish too much, as usual.

In honor of Matt Lienart starting this weekend im inviting hot Coed's to my house to enjoy my jacuzzi and swimming pool.

Leinart avoids the pass rush about as well as he does crabs, he has no sense of a dangerous situation...
