I think Ogletree getting playing time shows that we are getting prepared to let Sam walk.
He is to good to not see any playing time and he wont get it here in Dallas.
He'll go to some team and be their #3 from day 1 and most likely will be a starter in this league before long.
Ah I hope not. I cant see him asking for ridiculous money. He's a perfect number four/five. Great on special teams, and I really think he could produce if we would play more spread sets. With all these low investments in WR I think it is a decent strength of this team.
I know our base offense is the 2TE and I'm a fan of it, but I'd like to see more spread formations sprinkled in with 5 wides. The only bad thing is it takes Witten off the field, which I'm torn on.
I know the shotgun isn't a popular formation by many lately, but I'd like to spread the field, and let Romo do his thing. Let me be clear though I'm not suggesting this as a base offense, just more sprinkled in. I think Romo's athleticism could be showcased a bit in the spread.
Maybe around 5-6 plays per game and just get as much possible speed on the field, and let Romo move around a little and sling it. He would definitely have to identify blitzes and hit hot routes though, but I think with Romo's athleticism we can spread 'em out a bit more and open it up a bit.
...Alright tangent over. But I'd like Hurd to stay lol.
