like I've been saying for awhile now guys...MOVE RW to Ellis' OLB spot and put Elam in RW's SS spot.

Watch tape of Elam during the preseason...he is a playmaker!

RW is tough, quick and hits hard, so he will survive at OLB PLUS he is better at covering the short passes...again watch tape when he plays close to the line. Just have him eat a few more biscuits this week.

PS:Bench Henry...start Watkins again. Watkins and Elam will be a great tandem.

Book it!

I KNOW talent!
Tony Romo ring a bell?

he is way to small to play that position.
both the guys you list are too young to be trusted back there.
and lol @ benching henry

other than that it sounds like a great idea to me.

Roy Williams would get eaten alive in that position...We would really suck lol.

Leave Williams where he is and give him a good FS and we're rolling...Moving him to Ellis spot would be madness.

...and Romo had never thrown an NFL pass
...and Romo wasn't even drafted!

anyway, Roy is what 238 lbs? His quickness and toughness will make up for his size..he will be a BEAST at OLB if given the chance.

As for the secondary...young guys have talent too! Elam and watkins would compliment each others play. Roy W could not be counted on by watkins, hence Watkins looked bad.

ROY WILLIAMS will not get eaten alive at OLB...he is too quick and uses his hands very well to fight off blocks...watch some tape!

I'll give you some tape... Have you watched him Blitz?

He starts the BLitz from 30 yards away and by the time he gets to the LOS The play is already over lol...He needs to fix that.

Dont get me wrong he Makes big plays but He's still plays like a rookie sometimes.

you realize that by saying romo was gonna be good you had just as much chance to be wrong. That was a 50 50 statement you ended up right and now think you are a football genius? watkins is a rookie that was getting lost in the NFL game, the last thing on his mind was he couldn't count on roy.

you really should learn a bit more about the game.

He is too light to play LB in the 3-4. Prolly could get away with it in the 4-3 but he would have to take on OT in the 320 lb range. If they got their hands on him, he would be done. He is also too short to play OLB.

Finally, why take him out of his natural position and teach him a new one in the middle of the season? HE can come up from the SS spot and provide coverage and free a LB to go.

Leave it alone!

Also, we should take Romo and put him at wedge-buster on ST.

Roy is playing like the best safety in the league, and people still want to move him. Oh wait, this guy isn't a person.

Its not gonna happen in the 3-4.
Probably won't happen if they go back to the 4-3, either, when Parcells is gone.
Roy would be an average sized OLB in the 4-3, though. Plenty of those guys aren't 250+ bruisers like 3-4 backers.
By the way, Donnie Edwards is listed around 225 and playing inside in SD's 3-4.

ROY w is very talentd...just been playing at the wrong spot for us.
He won't have to LEARN that new position...his natural instincts to get to the ball carrier are excellent...THAT is what you want in a LB!
