You're the general manager of this team, Dak has been here for several seasons. Knowing this and all the resources you've given him, what's the time frame that he has to go deep into the playoffs or win a championship??

Do you feel that the cowboys have a time frame on Dak being that he's been here this long. Please keep this appropriate!!!! Give your thoughts please....

Time table? I know it is the ultimate team game. But the time table is this season.
The "team" got to the divisional round, and what could have been a winnable game on the road, and Dak blew it, if it was 100% all on him. But it wasn't. There were several other key plays that contributed to that loss. 3 that stood out more so than others. But he had at least 2 himself.

So to me it is this year. Contract extension or not, as that is only to help reduce the cap hit, because Jerry & Son, Inc., are bad at contracts.

Not sure many fans/posters understand this is a contract year for Dak. Yes, he has 2024 before the 2 voidable years BUT there is no guaranteed money after 2023. Trust me, there's no way Todd France will let him in 2024 w/o new guaranteed money. The question is how much it's going to take........$43M, $45M, $47M, or more. If we make the NFCCG this season, his numbers will probably be closer to $50M than not.

Interesting no one's talking about his contract but this time next season it will be huge........

As for that tweet, why should Dallas have to pay Dak "before the market rises"? I'm sorry but if Dak can't deliver the goods this year then it's time to move on, a few seasons of rebuilding be darned. Just because your neighbor bought a $50K electric vehicle does not mean you have to as well, especially seeing as how they constantly need recharging after only a short distance and the cost to replace the battery is more than the car will be worth.

In typical fashion, the Cowboys will sit around and wait until last minute to extend Dak, elevating his cost by $10sM. Pull the trigger on a deal or move on.

I'm sure you are speaking the same language as many fans ( maybe more now than ever ) but Jerry and Stephen are nowhere near this thinking. That's just the way it........

The only I see them even considering moving on from Dak is he and France back them into a financial demand they refuse to meet. ( see Lamar Jackson and the Ravens)

The game in SF was lost the moment Pollard went down. Dak Prescott isn't a net benefit to the offense and in that game he was a net handicap for the offense. I'm not even sure how many of these games they need to play to realize that the guy is simply not a benefit in a game against one of the better teams. Now a lot of folks will claim that all QB's have bad games or good defenses stifle even the best QB's. Not arguing that, however there is a difference between being someone who plays neutral vs someone whose play hurts the team and when it comes to Dak Prescott vs the better defenses and teams, his play simply hurts the team. That game against SF would have been a win had it not been for those turnovers, had it been for a reasonable amount of ball control and moving the ball. Towards the end of the game the offense couldn't even move the ball with any competence. Now part of that is on Kellen Moore and he is gone. But Kellen Moore calls the plays and it's up to the players to execute - they failed to execute and a lot of that is on Dak.

SO BASICALLY DAK WILL HAVE 75 TOUCHDOWNS, 9,532 PASSING YARDS, AND 3 INTERCEPTIONS, and will force the Cowboys into giving him the record deal??? Next seasons after that he goes back to turnovers??????

So this season, NOBODY should be happy when we play a lower tier team and he lights them up in the stat book
