Neither do I.

Yet, you believe you would like to watch the Cowboys with Lance and/or Rush as the starting QB?

I hope you are not that delusional.
It would be something new and different....I mean...you are making schtuff up on your head about it. You have ZERO idea how it pans out until it actually does.

I know *I* have seen weird things.

In fact...I bet YOU were one of the people that called to IMMEDIATELY tank the season when Dak went down and Cooper started.

I know I know...nobody admits it NOW....but there were a LOT back then. CZ doesn't make it easy to go find it and prove it. But that showed a lot of people WRONG even if they can't admit it now.

You could be wrong...maybe? Have you considered the possibility? Or are you going to stay delusional?

I know it won't happen, but its time to sit Dak. He is not playing well and quickly aging. His processing should be getting better, but he is regressing. He can't run and has no zip on his throws. He and his agent again took advantage on the idiot owner.

Cooper Rush actually gives this team a better chance of winning. Or just play Lance and tank for high draft pick. Find a way to get out of Dak with least damage as possible. See if Dak is willing to be traded and send our #1 pick to get the salary off the books. Fat Mike will be gone after the year so just start over.
We’re losing anyways, might as well put a loser in there. I don’t know why Jerry resigned Prescott. Did he think there was nobody else out there. He sucks anyways might as well put someone else in there

If we’re going to lose, might as well, put them in the rest of the season and see what he has, talking about Lance

Can the stalled drives red zone issues sacks interceptions get worst if a change even brief is made ? What are people afraid of ?

Guy making 60 million not getting benched.......Same as in Cleveland. Watson didn't get hurt-he'd still be playing....And having Rush and Lance playing. Dallas wouldn't score 7 a game. Jerry wants his money......

Nah. Unlike some, I couldn't care less who the Cowboys QB is, I ALWAYS root for wins.

Sure, I could be wrong about Lance / Rush, but I will say, this D isn't anything close to what the D was when Rush last started.

So if you think the situation is anywhere near the same as it was a couple of years ago .... God bless your heart.

Cuz we can get Lance some reps and see if we can build his trade value so we can trade him after the season?
He becomes a free agent on March 12, 2025. Why wouldn’t a team, assuming any would have interest, simply wait and sign him? They could get him with giving up any player or draft capital. The surest way to indicate you don’t want a player is when the team he’s with isn’t interested in offering him an extension.

No I’d like to see the team go into full rebuild mode but that’s never going to happen. The only benefit of giving Lance a shot is to hope he’s decent and maybe get some draft capital for him or maybe he’s great and we cut bait with Dak and lick our cap wounds. Never going to happen though

OK.

What's the endgame though? I mean, I could see a point if Jerry didn't sign Dak to an extension before the season, but we all know Jerry "likes his guys" and we are stuck with Dak for the next 3+ years.

If starting Lance helps the Cowboys long-term, I'm down. But I don't see any scenario where it does.

He plays great, we can't resign him at market rate, we blew that wad on Dak, nor is it feasible to franchise tag him for a trade. He walks away scot-free and the Cowboys look stupider than they already do. Not to mention what the lockerroom might feel about it. And make no mistake, NO ONE is winning with this Defense right now, so it's not like switching the QB fixes that mess either.

What if Lance plays terrible? His trade value drops to nil. We may get a high draft pick due to losing, but Jerry will not use it on a QB anyways. And in the slim chance he does, we are looking at a Paxton Lynch / Johnny Manzel type of mistake. What if he plays so bad we have no choice but to put Dak back out there? Another chance of completely destroying trust in the lockerroom.

So I'm not anti trying something different. I'm just anti try something different just for the sake of doing something different without any reasonable chance of it bringing something positive to the table.

Provide me with something positive for the DALLAS COWBOYS, then I'm on board (not that I have any say with what happens anyways, but I digress)

Right, and so we can get a comp pick for him.

Lance is a FA at the end of the year. And the only way we could resign Lance, if he played well enough to earn it, is by cutting Dak, which would lose the Cowboys, AT MINIMUM, $60 million dollars in cap space ($150+ million cap hit if he's cut in the next two years).

Jerry made his bed with the Dak signing. Now we all have to suffer.

Go Cowboys.

He looks slow as molasses, lost all his mobility. He might be the slowest QB in the league

Jerry won’t pay a coach 500K to sit on the couch and he certainly won’t let Dak sit with over 240 million. He milks every penny….
If Dak didn't have the endorsements he does... he would have been gone. Jerry not dumping those extra eyes on the Cowboys. Super Bowls don't matter...

So so so glad we extended him... imagine how much pressure he would have been under with this start to the season and no contract. It is almost like we could have made and objective evaluation of his talent before locking ourselves into a massive, multi year deal.

Good Job Jerrah.
