Face it folks were not going to get very far this year. Although were leading a weak division, I'm having some doubts that we can even squeeze into the playoffs. Our offense has been dismal this entire year. The best solution is to can Callahan. I doubt that will happen anytime soon. But something drastic needs to be done, especially on offense.

I also find it ironic that people blame this defense for losing games. How I see it, the defense can only do so much with so many injuries. But yet, they have time and time again made the plays to put the offense in a position to win.

Its time we fix this offense. Callahan playcalling is as bad as Garretts. We have two very average playcaller on offense. I say we look for an offense coordinator and can Callahan. Someone that can change the playbook. But like I said, its not going to happen. Eventually, Callahan won't get canned until the end of the season. They want it to be a security blanket for Garrett during the off season so that he can keep his job.

Admit it, you actually like Callahan. You just like to say "can Callahan."

Can Callahan?

Do you feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

Well, the offense can sputter at times....only HERE would be the place that would call for the head of the fourth highest scoring team in the NFL...

I am thinking the same thing. 3 point with our offense before half time and after the first touchdown in the second half, 3 punts and an interception. I don't think his 12 year offense is old and is not suited with today's offense.

We do not have a SINGLE weakness before Water weakness, yet we repeated struggle to MOVE the ball and give defense some rest, forget about scoring. Either the game planning is horrible or players are put in a bad shape where execution is error prone. Yet teams with 2 weapons use those weapons to win games consistently (SD - woodhead and Gates), Minn (AD and who else they have? still move the ball well). It is time for Garett to take back offense play calling before it is too late. use this week and next week bye to come up with a scheme that uses out weapons

What if you take away defensive points, are we the fourth highest scoring offense?

Not sure. That would bring us down to 25.2 ppg. I'm not going to go calculate every other team's scoring average minus defensive touchdowns.

I never bought into him as a coach for this offense.

I was a Nebraska fan and watched him ruin their program. Now he has come to my favorite team and its happening all over again.

I'll never understand why Dallas doesn't just go get a innovative coach instead of hiring some guy like Callahan and making him try to call plays like the current generation of coaches are doing.

We're actually of the belief that lining up and out-athleting teams is still whats wins in the NFL.

As bad as the defense was at times last year, I think we are re writing our history book as far as number of yards and other categories given up.

The defense has been horrible. We have improved in turn overs and defensive scores but have gotten worse in other categories.

Now we can make legitimate claims that we are hurting due to the no names that are playing on defense. We got one guy on the line that we knew prior to the off season and the rest are guys off of the street and castaways. So that is a legit claim. Losing Spencer, Bass, Rat, Crawford and Now ware.

With that said. The defense is still having troubles and giving up leads and responsible for a number of our losses.

Canning Callahan and blaming the offense.

Well you can blame the offense. But I am not sure canning Callahan is going to do much.

Remember he is running JG's offense. And if someone argues that he is running his own I say that the proof is in the pudding that he is running JGs because we still see a number of games where the Offense abandons the run too early and goes pass pass pass and frankly if Romo has the ability to audible out of the runs that is still on the HC and OC because they need to limit that ability or tell him to quit doing that so often.

Either way. If you can Callahan and you still have JG, you are still going to be running JGs offense and you will just get more of the same with the occasional change (more running during a game or two after everyone complains about the lack or the running game).

So if you want to basically give the Defense a pass...go ahead, they have legitimate problems with injuries but I don't think they should be blameless in this whole thing.
But just wanting to can Callahan and thinking that will change things seems to be the wrong line of thinking IMO because we still have JG and his offense.

Callahan could easily be this year's Rob Ryan if things go south. We all know Garrett will not be held accountable.

I'm not ready to can Callahan yet....everyone has a boss who decides how to run the show......I am ready to get rid of Jason Garrett's Playbook and Offensive style. Garretts playbook has not worked for several years now......time for something new.

We're still top 10 in terms of offensive points/drive, too. Or were up until yesterday, anyway.
